No x-ray. Just going to get another test to be sure. Seems that the doc doesn't suspect covid. But who knows?

I agree that those are important things. I wish you would have included a link with that data, otherwise the link you did post had incomplete data. Not wrong.....just incomplete.

Seems both vaxx are still similarly protecting against covid's disease burden but the effectiveness in preventing breakthroughs has diminished slightly. We should be encouraged by the ability of researchers to stay on top of these issues and figure them out--almost in real time.

In any case, more importantly, how are you feeling?

Thank you. The Israel data was taken out of context and the "interpretation" by Q was faulty. These images say it all.

I didn't realize it, but more than 1 million in the US have gone and gotten 3rd shot boosters, even though it hasn't been approved here.

Misinterpreting Israel data seems to be a cottage industry among conservatives right now.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/07/19/vaccine-skeptics-zero-israel-again-some-reason/

The vaccines help, a lot. However I don't think you can confidently say you are "safe" even vaxed, at least for those that are older. We have gone from 97-99% effective against hospitalization to about 80%. Which means risk has increased 6 - 10+ fold for vaxed.

Out of the 385,000 people who attended Lollapalooza two weeks ago, only 203 contracted the virus. All of the attendees had to show proof of vaccination or a negative test within the previous 48 hours. I would hesitate going to any large event that didn't take the same precautions.

I would agree with that against the delta variant . I also believe the mask are worthless

Well were seeing first hand that the so called vaccine doesn't do to much against the delta

Looks like the Delta variant is raging again in the FDOC.
Many new cases in the last two weeks.
A "just promoted to assistant warden" passed away yesterday, he was 46
and in apparent good health. The Warden has it as well.
My unvaxed brother is in the ICU at NFR, he seems to be improving.
I will be getting the booster shot as soon as I can.

My wife has tickets for Music Midtown and Shaky Knees, both incredible music festivals that she has gone to for years (except during covid). She got the tickets several months ago when things were looking better but is second guessing now.
Music Midtown just released covid precautions similar to Lollapalooza so she will hit that one. Still waiting to see what Shaky Knees decides.

This is amazing. Actually, it’s amazing that almost 400k people attended the concert. That’s a medium sized US city. And then having only 200 cases. Incredible.

Trouble is youre being a bit simplistic here.

2 weeks to flatten the curve.
    Masks save lives
    Vaccines prevent infections

While I agree the above is mostly true it's 100%, that's why some people are fed up.

I totally get that, it doesn't erase the data from the other studies, that's why a meta-analysis is good to look at.

For the record (before I get labeled anti-vax Qanon), I'm not saying that Ivermectin is a cure all, but one study with a weak primary end point doesn't mean it doesn't have any benefit.

Of course it’s not 100%, most things rarely are and certainly they are not when talking about 300+ Million people and an infectious disease.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good.

I'm not, but I understand the views of both sides. I don't see the point in name calling from either side.
Does it mean I agree with either one 100% Nope, I guess that makes a moderate.

When taking out the fraudulent study there was barely a benefit. When adding a subsequent study with poor results the benefit was gone.

Typically you'd want to see some actual evidence before taking a medical course of action.

“So called”!? Stats show they do. Where do you get your info? Anti vaxers are filling the hospitals. Are docs and nurses lying?
