Cringe-inducing predictable. Tina Peters, consumed by the idea that elections are won by cheating, invited who knows who to a secure meeting, had the cameras turned off, and did who knows what with election data before sealing it. But being the go-getter she is, she was on stage at Pillow Dude’s Release the Crack Man “election symposium” to project her behaviors onto her perceived enemies. Colorado voting officials feud over alleged security breach
Reading the article, it sounds like this lady is both crazy and incompetent. Caused (and possibly assisted in) a security breach. Forgot 600 ballots in a drop-box. She better watch out that she doesn't end up in prison.
Definitely incompetent. I live in Mesa County and Peters was targeted for a recall for the forgotten ballot boxes, but not enough signatures were collected to proceed. I have doubts a second attempt would fare any better. This county is Colorado Red and firmly in Boebert's pocket.
Another story on it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...tXEwN6mgPEiDavzUd8uDNKQjoQCuwcPrHcDXHKEGl3_-M
I didn't see anywhere in the article that Q was even mentioned. The liberals infatuation with Qanon is fascinating. QDS....is real.
Everyone should take QAnon very seriously and be extremely leery of it. The ignorant should make it a point to educate themselves about this dangerous group.
Valid point. I see nothing that says she's a Qanon follower, just Trump supporter. and Lindell supporter. But apparently the election passwords did find their way to Ron Watkins who is believed to be affiliated with Qanon.
Lindell *is* a QANON conspiracy theorist. He’s pushing their BS wholesale, at least the track that believes Trump can be “reinstated”. One of the speakers at this conference even featured the guy most assume started the Q hoax/cult (and that person also happened to have this stolen Colorado elections password!). It’s not a coincidence this stuff ended up in Watkins hands, even if she had no idea who Watkins was, clearly she was in contact with people associated with the conspiracy and (likely) committed a criminal act to give them unauthorized access to the voting system.
Back in the cold war days these folks would be tossing out SDS at anyone expressing concerns over the behavior and goals of the old soviet union.
Colorado's secretary of state wants her out: Jena Griswold sues to prevent Tina Peters from overseeing elections
So? You’re “unaware” of her connection, as per usual. Very convenient, and coincidental. Here, try another one that just puts it right in the headline: A pro-Trump county clerk is accused of helping to leak sensitive election data to one of QAnon's leaders: reports
Tina Peters isn't one to let little things like that stop her. GOP conspiracy theorist running for Colorado Secretary of State
She could win as gop is embracing more of these crazier-the-better. Starting with the 2020 election was stolen.
Incompetent for sure. In addition to living in the congressional district represented by Lauren Boebert, and as mention up thread, I live in Mesa County, and Peters is the court clerk that runs elections in this county. She's dishonest and unethical and a liar. Peters and her former husband separated in 2017 and Thomas Peters purchased the house in 2018, after the legal separation was filed. Her name was never on the title of the property. However, there was a power of attorney that was not negated after their separation and divorce. The contentious divorce was finalized in November, 2021. Video of her arrest last week. Peters vs. Peters: Divorced couple feud over home The lawsuit, filed in Mesa County District Court in December, alleges that Tina Peters “through deceit and deception” initiated a quick-claim deed to transfer ownership of a home in the Spyglass Ridge neighborhood from Thomas Peters to herself. The suit says that Tina Peters filed that deed the same day in early October that Thomas revoked her power of attorney, which he had bestowed on her for unknown reasons. “Recently, Thomas M. Peters determined that it was not in his best interests for his ex-wife to have the authority under the power of attorney he had executed, consequently he executed a new power of attorney, both a financial one and a health care one,” the lawsuit reads. “On or about October 7, 2021, defendant recorded her revoked power of attorney with the clerk and recorder of Mesa County and also recorded a quit claim deed transferring plaintiff’s property to her solely,” the suit adds. “Plaintiff at no point authorized her to transfer his property to his former spouse.” Video of her being arrested last week - Video of her turning herself in on obstruction charges. This video contains an appearance and defense from the pillow guy, Mike Lindell, who sheltered her for 6 weeks last summer when she was being sought for illegally sharing information on voting machines. He flew her in his private plane to a number of undisclosed locations. Lindell said, "she 'seen' it happen..."
Tina Peters indicted by Mesa County grand jury on 10 counts in election equipment tampering probe 10 counts related to an ongoing investigation into alleged election equipment tampering and official misconduct, prosecutors said Wednesday. Peters, a Republican candidate for Colorado secretary of state, faces seven felony charges and four misdemeanors stemming from allegations she violated security protocols last summer in an attempt to prove unfounded claims that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump. The charges include three felony counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one felony count of criminal impersonation and one felony identity theft charge, and two felony conspiracy charges. She's also been charged with first degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failing to comply with an order issued by the Colorado Secretary of State, all misdemeanors.
