Unfortunately the vaccination status is meaning less and less. Just posted the report out of Israel. Wednesday 405 serious cases with 250 being fully vaccinated. Matches my anecdotal personal discussions. The craziest one is the rehab facility the mother of a friends friend was in. Everyone got tested because of an outbreak. 16 of the 18 positive were vaccinated. The good news is one of the unvaccinated was asymptomatic (85 years old at that...I would not recommend an 85 year old be unvaccinated).

That is nonresponsive again. Obviously, the reason that they wear masks is because they come into contact with infectious diseases at work and masks work to slow the spread of infectious diseases.

The problem is that your entire question is premised on only one stage of spread. If I could stop the entire household from getting it by stopping the spread to the initial seed, that would be the most effective measure.

How about answering my questions, and then I will respect you enough to answer yours.

The vaccine effectiveness seems to be waning against Delta. I’ve seen anywhere between 40-80%. Good thing Pfizer is working on a vaccine specifically targeting Delta.

It is clear you think that if everyone wore a mask that the vaccines would not be necessary and we could end the virus.

    I disagree.

I understand it is going to spread. I understand some people are not smart about how they are navigating this virus.

The fact is this virus most commonly spreads at the house as someone picks it up and then they bring it where they spend a long time in a small area with their loved ones. If you believe the mask works...this is the first place you should be wearing it.

I will assume your virtue is too great to admit this.

I didn't say that at all. It lowers transmissibility. It doesn't eliminate it.

Yeah, one way to not be smart: ignoring how diseases spread. You just want to ignore that because it isn't convenient.

So rather than stopping the "someone picks it up" stage you would rather they get it and then just slow the spread to the other people in the household rather than addressing the "someone picks it up" stage?

My basic knowledge of how diseases spread is too great to admit what is obviously ridiculous, that is true. Honestly, you know that masking slows the spreading of diseases and you have a basic understanding of how contagion works. You are just pretending not to do so because it matches your politics.

Coffee breath? Honestly pre covid I dont recall mine wearing one (except during extractions, etc) but since last year, everyone in his office has been wearing masks and shields. Presumably to minimize transmission and peace of mind for patients laying there with their mouths wide open for extended periods of time.
I’d bet it becomes standard practice to do so.

20% of the data, and by far the most positive data for ivermectin came from a fraudulent study

Huge study supporting ivermectin as Covid treatment withdrawn over ethical concerns

Yep, I've read 42% but by the time they figure it out, delta will have burned out and we'll be on to the next one.

How come you did not quote how they are testing twice per week to ensure sick children are not coming to class? If US schools would commit to that you certainly good open schools with far fewer concerns.

Show me where the data that a lot of kids were quarantined. And who was monitoring those tests? Did they have to bring them to school? Was it the honor system? Those are some important things to find out. But, no masks and the US(HS especially) is more vaccinated than the UK at the time of the study.

Over 1200 pages of posts and what strikes me most is what a bunch of lazy, whiners some people are.
“I want things to be normal!!!!”
    Isolate then.
“I don’t want to isolate, I need my kfc?”

    Wear a mask then.
“I don’t want to wear a mask. Freedom!!”

    Get vaccinated then
“ I don’t want to get vaccinated. I want to bitch and throw a tantrum but not actually do anything!!”

    So much for accountability.
