Yes, It's a reoccurring form of a known virus (related to SARS and covid 2)... That make it easier when you've been at it for almost a decade. But it's still not good enough for me to take. I've had it and I barely got sick for one day. There is no need for me to take the current batch of vaccines. I would rather take a preventative med that is fully FDA approved, not a rushed through VAX that is only EUA by the FDA.

There is no medication that is FDA approved to prevent Covid.

This is true, but there are meds that are approved for other illnesses that work as preventative. But nothing is perfect. Perfecting in medicine/medications is fool's gold.

It should absolutely concern you that the video was deleted. Thankfully it looks like the sane have stopped the censoring of the video. It sure feels like you are not willing to look at the big picture on this issue based on your response. But I think it would be wise to research ADE. And hey...we are seeing enough breakthrough at this point to know that these drugs are going to be needing lots of boosters if they are even working on the delta.

I know more people who have dealt with Covid over the past two weeks compared to the entire ordeal so far. And the vaccinated were/are heavily involved in just about all of them. Buddy of mine in Lakeland had a work peer vaccinated get it from his vaccinated wife. Both ended up in the hospital. The husband sadly passed away. Also heard an unvaccinated work peer passed away from it. In Brevard have close family friends. They have a true antivax friend who had their 85 year old mother talked into not taking the vaccine (Not the advice I would give in the vast majority of circumstance for someone of that age). Mom ended up in rehab facility with a breakout. 18 people tested positive between workers and patients. 16 of the 18 were vaccinated. Her mom was one of the two unvaccinated...Asymptomatic. Our family friends older two kids went to a camp a few weeks ago. Patient Zero at the camp that had an outbreak was vaccinated and symptomatic. Their two kids both popped positive and were asymptomatic. Two close friends both vaccinated picked it up recently from their daughter. Employees parents just popped positive unvaccinated. Very minor symptoms. Brother in law recently vaccinated had a day and a half where he got nailed by it. His wife unvaccinated has had a rough go of it but doing better. All anecdotal but when put with the reports from the PHE (Public Health England) on the delta and the reports out of Israel. It feels as though we will see similar outcomes. Though you would think every single person getting it in America is unvaccinated by watching our news. Which is just not the case.

This virus is real and a monster. Likely a gain of function lab leak we are dealing with. Purposeful leak? I am not sure but...

I suggest that some just take a step back and think about the reality that this disease is not that dangerous to most. We have an experimental drug that in the short seems to be very helpful for the most vulnerable. RNA technology has been around for 30 years. There are three approved drugs using the technology over that time and one is not used anymore. And in one year we have the holy grail to some. Yet we want young healthy people to put this new technology in them for a disease that is just not that dangerous to them.

I think there is a good portion of the population that should take these experimental drugs. But I also am very concerned that these drugs are going to end up causing a lot of problems due to how they were rolled out without any concern for who really needed the protection.

And on the mask...if you are wearing it all day at the house I can respect your position. Though I don't think you need to. As that is the number one place this thing spreads. But if you are just wearing it in public. It is all for theater. It amazes me that no one actually thinks about the most common place this thing spreads and yet just follows orders about wearing a mask everywhere except that place. The data is there to show masks do nothing to slow the spread. We can look at all the spikes since this thing started and find that it is more common for high compliance communities to have steeper spikes versus low compliance communities once the virus gets going.

Those meds you speak about have side effects and have not been approved as a COVID preventative. Taking them will likely cause worse side effects and not help prevent COVID. Meanwhile, full FDA approval for the vaccines will likely come next month.

I'm sure this pt has been made many times previously on this thread, but the % of those hospitalized that have been vaccinated is not really important. What's important is the % of those vaccinated that have been hospitalized.

How can the fda shoot down a vaccine that's been administered to half the world? Of course it will be approved soon. What's the other option at this point?

Regardless, by the time they approve it, it will be largely ineffective.

I hate to say it but maybe Trump was right after all. If we would just stop testing, the number of cases would go down.

Also, did Trump mention a specific brand of bleach? Asking for a friend.
