    It's not a breakout. It's another wave.

Anyway, there have been multiple influenza virus pandemics in recorded history, some of them starting in the summer.

Why we have a flu season for some strains now, I am not fully sure, but that we do doesn't seem to me to prevent other influenza viruses from breaking out during summer months.

It is a novel Coronavirus. Not one of the many flu strains. That are different. Different structure and protein. Polio spread in the summer up north. Why? Because it was caught from warm water lakes and such. Nobody swam in them on the summer. Different disease.

I saw today an article in WAPO that said that the statistics in hospitalizations of vaccinated versus unvaccinated run from January to some point in July and they do not yet have the numbers now that Delta has taken over.

I recently had to school/educate some people as to why the hospitals can tell if it's Delta but the UCC or home test can't.
Fools were saying they can't tell me its delta but in the hospital they can they are lying..

People make all kinds of silly assumptions.

Since they don't have open borders it may not...(Joking)

It will, just a matter of time, too many people traveling all about.

I know nothing of this Doctor other than doing a limited research. I saw nothing to think he would be some crazy doctor.

I will just say in provides a lot of the broad answers in 6 minutes as to why people are being very careful as they navigate this terrible virus.

Care to elaborate on what the doctor said at the School Board meeting?

Truly remarkable how stupid people are to listen to someone like that. But, tens of millions of people are that dumb. Which is why we are back in the middle of a crises.

I don't think Ivermectin is being attacked, and I'm not certain that it's useless. The issue with Ivermectin is similar to that of HCQ, as in there just isn't high quality data to suggest that it works. There also isn't high quality data to say that it doesn't, so I won't rule out the possibility that it can work, but that goes with all other medications.

As for the conspiracy theories, Dexamethasone is by far the most commonly used medication to treat COVID, and it's a very cheap generic drug.

It was a hodgepodge of half-truths shrouded in the Dr.'s impeccable credentials. The rest was misinformation and outright lies. But hey, he produced a zip drive containing numerous articles that supposedly support his hot take on the vaccines. The articles are most certainly faulty, illogical propaganda. The video was deleted from multiple media platforms. I wonder why. :emoji_thinking:

I'm sure it's been touched on somewhere here, but how do the hospitals differentiate the delta strain from others?
