Yeah, he was starting to show up better at the end of the season. Hopefully that was the beginning of a learning curve that makes him special.
Curious to see where Black and Wingo end up, those guys are pretty freak athletes with the size and speed to make some noise outside.
The talk about him pre-injury was that he was really athletic. If it wasn't for his injury maybe making his development slower and that his brother is playing here this year, he is a guy I would have expected to hit the transfer portal to find some playing time.
yep and he may be inclined to stick it out because he doesn’t have film like that that would make him attractive in the portal. James Houston had more film and took him months to find a home
Good point. If the lower tier schools are not churning players in the portal, the fringe players in P5 will not necessarily find a nice soft landing spot. Free school is still a pretty big deal if your career is not pointing in the direction of the NFL.
Damn idk if I answered this but it does seem like BUCK is the key to his defensive line. If you look at the difference in 2018, 2019, and last year, def can see the consistency in pass rushing fall off year by year. Granted 2019 was due to injuries to Greenard and Zu which forced Carter inside more and Bogle to play more than he was ready to (oh and Moon who we keep forgetting about) and we didn’t have the depth last year to constantly bring pressure with the front 4 so it seemed like we played soft in the secondary to try and offset it but that went waaaaay left
Cyrus Moss has an offer from bama. He might be hard to pull from across the country, but maybe he has had religious visions of playing for UF. (shaking head) I just hope he doesn't show up on 9/18 wearing crimson. There is more competition for his position at UF than at bama so not feeling this one. Moss will get to watch a terrific SEC football game in person, the two schools in the southeast that he is currently considering. His highest interest in other offers are west coast programs. Information from 247 Sports.
6’4” 220 is common for Grantham and Florida for the last few cycles. We been short on the big boys but not at all in that area. I kinda like it though as those kids tend to grow into other positions with the physical talent they already had. Hasn’t really come to fruition but I like the train of thought.
I wouldn't look at position with him. Look at his physical attributes. The only players we have with his height and wingspan who could play rush end are Moon and Bogle, and maybe Summerall is close. I was hoping to get one of the 6'5" guys that could play rush end in the '22 class.
high hope and expectation for summerall, for him and uf. as a 3rd year, he needs to be good to go. diabate is slated for roaming olb. think this is moon's final year.
Diabate had a lot of trouble covering running backs out of the backfield last year, particularly versus Bama. Lot of LBs had trouble covering Najee Harris last year though.
2-year DT starter Truesdell no longer with Auburn Auburn lost a two year starting DT No longer with team.
