That's not what the USA Today article says. Here is a link to the actual article. Not the third party site you linked with the misleading headline.

CDC mask guidelines: Vaccinated people advised to wear indoors again

It's been speculated for a while that vaccinated people are spreading delta around. That's because the majority of vaccinated people, if infected, are either completely asymptomatic, or have only minor symptoms. This is a vaccine win, in my opinion. If the vaccine reduces COVID to a annoying head cold at worst for 99% of the vaccinated, that's a good thing. The bad thing is still what that does to the unvaccinated, as it seems vaccinated people can still spread the disease.

If people are willfully unvaccinated, is there anything to convince them at this point? I don't think so. But there will always be a portion of the population that have immune and other health issues that cause them not to be able to get vaccinated. They are, and will be a concern.

If everybody eligible got a vaccine, then life could return to normal for all except for those with immune issues that can't take the vaccine. Even if the vaccinated spread delta around to each other, again, for most, we're talking nothing more than annoying head cold. And eventually, with vaccine plus natural immunity, it wouldn't take that long before herd immunity was reached.

Herd immunity might happen anyway at the pace delta is progressing, but how many more unvaccinated people will needlessly end up in the hospital, or worse before this happens?

Even if true, that vaxxed people aren't getting as sick and thus in need of hospitalization or dying from covid is a great thing. The promise was never about 100% immunity or 100% preventing covid or any variant thereof from spreading. That said, data suggesting vaxxed folk spread covid is at best preliminary. Makes for a nice headline for some, but still much uncertainty to know with any confidence.

Why are you quoting some random website quoting NBC News? Where's the NBC News article? I'd like to see it. I couldn't find it in the USA Today link from the article.

As for thr Pfizer data on vaccine based immunity. It's not entirely clear to me that infections increased over time due to decreased immunity or a rise in new variants. There's also no data suggesting that a 3rd shot would be significantly beneficial. I'd like to see more data before deciding whether a 3rd shot is necessary and when.

Talking to a healthcare manager today, had to shutdown one of their daycares due to 30 new cases. He said the 8 day spike is “noteworthy”

Yeah, the invesment watch piece was alledging that the part about higher viral loads was deleted from the original USA today article. Wouldn't know how to prove that claim one way or another.

Because the state is being weird about data, it is kind of hard to get real numbers, but it looks like Florida has passed the second spike in hospitalizations. Just a month ago we were at our lowest level of hospitalization since this started, and now we are surpassing previous peaks at surprising speeds.

    COVID-19 statistics, Florida, USA

My wife has a friend who tested positive last week, as did her friend's husband. She was vaccinated, and he was not. He just checked into the hospital yesterday. She is doing a lot better. Both are young and healthy (she just had a baby 8 months ago).

Someone yesterday tweeted official looking information from Florida and I wasn't sure where they got it from given that Florida is trying to limit releasing information to once a week. But between this and what that look like, things are looking pretty bad.
