DeSantis is the one trying to kill the cruise business. Vast majority of cruisers WANT to cruise on a VACCINATED ship. Cruise lines are trying provide what their customers want, like a private business should. I don’t know why some of you struggle with the concept.

Why are you so vested in spreading disinformation against the vaccine? You do realize what you and others like you are doing is literally killing tens of thousands of people?

How is this disinformation. FACT: cases are rising in more vaccinated areas. FACT: I have said numerous times anyone over 18 should get the vaccine(even though data know shows anyone who has had covid has better immunity than the vaccine can offer). When did information we don't like become "disinformation"? I have "literally" killed no one. But keep going on the crazy hyperbole.

What you state is fact, but again, analysis is lacking. The areas where COVID is spreading the fastest in California are in the highest density, urban settings. San Francisco and Alameda County and San Diego. The areas where COVID isn't spreading as fast are in very rural areas. Hospitalization rates and death rates in California are still much lower among the vaccinated as compared to the unvaccinated.

And while natural immunity may be better, certainly, the effects of the vaccine are much preferable to the symptoms of being infected by the virus. With delta also running rampant, it increases the chances of a new variant being created too. One that could have more vaccine resistance than delta, have more natural immunity resistance, and one that could even be more dangerous to all.

I wouldn't exactly say that yet, since it's not conclusive. We need more studies.

You state that it's falling in unvaccinated areas and rising in vaccinated areas. You don't say that the rate is still many times higher in unvaccinated vs vaccinated areas.

What did you choose to present the first fact, and omit the second?

LOL. Analysis lacking? All I said was that was very interesting data. Rural versus high density has been shown to have mixed results of whether population density plays a part. But to dismiss that data as a nothing burger is a little premature.

Truth is every time a thread purge happens the numbers drop accordingly for everyone posting in purged threads. So all of us are missing posts. There is usually a thread asking people to tell @GatorGrowl their current number if they want it manually updated.

COVID spreading fast in well-vaccinated California counties (mercurynews.com)

    From the article:

"Five California counties have both a higher percentage of their eligible residents fully vaccinated and a higher average daily case rate than the statewide average: Los Angeles, San Diego, Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco. The five counties with falling case rates — Modoc, Glenn, Lassen, Del Norte, San Benito — have below-average vaccination rates."

Sorry those FACTS don't align with your preconceived notions.

Seems to be some conflicting data:
I cant speak for the accuracy of either, just putting this info out there too.

I think there are folks on this board that would rather drop dead than ever admit they were wrong, about ANYTHING.

A dear friend of mine lost her mother last Friday. She was treated in a makeshift ICU in the ER. ER patients were treated in the hallway.

This site shows 360 COVID in ICU beds. I think one variable is staffing. Here in Brevard County, they are back to setting up overflow tents for COVID patients. I've been in several doctors' offices lately with signs up indicating longer than normal wait times due to staffing shortages.

It's bad now. Wait until school starts back up....
