Heard an infectious disease doc at Tampa General on NPR this morning. Anecdotally, they’re getting a lot more admissions from people who previously contracted COVID-19 but had not been vaccinated than people who have been vaccinated.

Your response was literally a lie. You said you had it done “a couple of months ago”, not yesterday. You have no idea, per your own response, if you still have antibodies or not.
For your sake I hope you do.

You don’t seem to understand. We don’t know how long natural immunity may last.

You *think* you still have your immunity, you may not.

Well, to be fair, we don’t know how long vaccine immunity lasts either. There is a reason that the drug companies are readying booster shots. It’s not for shits and giggles.

That's all I've been waiting for just to hear you beg to me
Yes I absolutely think I still have immunity and will most likely have it for years, so I do understand.

Latest Israeli data I saw was 88-91% efficacy against Delta variant for severe COVID and hospitalizations. Also, that number seems higher in Israel because the majority of the population is vaccinated. Simple mathematics.

Also, that 99% figure you quoted did not specify the delta variant, so you can’t really use for comparisons. Let’s see the data on how previous immunity holds up against delta but I don’t think that data exists yet.

Major medical groups call for employers to mandate Covid-19 vaccines for health care workers (msn.com)

As the number of Covid-19 cases surges in the United States, more than 50 health care groups -- including the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Public Health Association -- issued a joint statement calling for all health care and long-term care employers to mandate employees be vaccinated against Covid-19.

"Our health care organizations and societies advocate that all health care and long-term care employers require their workers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This is the logical fulfillment of the ethical commitment of all health care workers to put patients as well as residents of long-term care facilities first and take all steps necessary to ensure their health and well-being," they wrote in the joint statement issued Monday.

"Because of highly contagious variants, including the Delta variant, and significant numbers of unvaccinated people, COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are once again rising throughout the United States. Vaccination is the primary way to put the pandemic behind us and avoid the return of stringent public health measures," the statement added.

Study was published back in April, well before the current delta-fueled spike. Since you are big on when studies are concluded, I'm surprised (not) that you are referencing this study.

Hence why I said IF. Let’s see what the real world data is on the delta variant before commenting.

Again, I said we need data against the delta variant. Read more, post less. That phrase applies to you.

Considering you have close to 3 times the number of posts as I do, that’s rich. Not shocking that you are extremely misguided.

I've been posting in TH a lot longer than you have. You seem to have started here about a year ago. I don't recall you being around much before that, but I could be wrong, though I think I'd have remembered someone with your posting 'style' (meaning lots of insults). In this thread, I'd bet you have at least 3 times as many posts as I do.
