No I'm not getting it done every month that's a waste of money. It was like 60 days ago. Let's just say as of yesterday I had it done it shows I still have the antibodies does that change your opinion?

Higgins is an absurdly ridiculous human being. Unfortunately, he matches the politics of the western part of the state, which is why they are having a massive outbreak out there. Full vaccination rates out there are generally in the 20s.

It’s not my opinion. It is a fact that we have no data showing the claim you have made that previous infection is superior to vaccination. As I have already stated I could care less if you ever decide to get vaccinated. Not sure why you keep bringing this up. Nobody cares. I’m merely pointing out your claim is false and you have failed to provide any evidence to back up your claims. You are the one making the claim, I'm asking for the evidence. It's that simple.

You are correct we don't have a study showing which is better, vaccination or natural immunity, but we do have data showing reinfection rate of covid+ patients is in the 1% range. Pretty dang good protection.

Study Finds COVID-19 Reinfection Rate Less Than 1% for Those with Severe Illness

"A review of more than 9,000 U.S. patients with severe COVID-19 infection showed less than 1% contracted the illness again, with an average reinfection time of 3.5 months after an initial positive test."

It's not false . Alright then answer the question, how many people have caught covid again and never received the vaccine? With all this data you should be able to get this answer really fast.

Now how many people actually got the vaccine and still called covid?

Since you and others have all this data to prove this wrong just answer these questions should be fairly easy for you guys

Long term lingering effects are sequella after the person is no longer infected. The result of damage from the infection. Once sick, the immune system starts to work on the disease. The vaccine adds nothing. The immune system is already fighting the protein. The advantage of the vaccine is that the immune system recognizes the protein, but the vaccine is not live virus.

Here's the CDC's advise on those who had COVID and the vaccine. The CDC recommends it as a way for people to boost their immunity and decrease the small chance of reinfection, and basically remove all chance of a serious case. Again, people who have had COVID taking the vaccine have nothing to lose other than 30 minutes spread over two days, and have something to gain. It would be different if the supply of vaccine was short, but that's not the case at all. We have plenty.

And taking a vaccine is a preventative measure, not a treatment. In fact, taking the vaccine while sick with COVID could be problematic, as it could cause your own immune system to go into overdrive, and cause some damage. It's why the CDC suggests at least two weeks recovery time after being sick before getting the vaccine, and even longer time if you needed specific treatments.

Agreed this is good news for severe illness. Would be interesting to see more data on the reinfection rate for those with mild/asymptomatic infections. From what I have seen it is not that good after 6 months.

I think the numbers are still low enough that the differences may not be statistically meaningful.

So what exactly am I lying about? I'm a lot of things but a liar I'm not.

I was just asking a hypothetical question if I had gotten the antibody test of yesterday and it showed that I still had them would that change your opinion?
And yes I agree with you it wouldn't have had made a difference to you, so why waste my time with the question

If you can't provide evidence then you are merely speculating and cannot make this claim as fact. For the 10th time we do not know exactly the answer to your question as we do not have enough sufficient data. We still don't know exactly how long natural immunity lasts and we don't know if natural immunity protects you against new variants. Fact of the matter is that is much safer to have vaccinated immunity than to catch COVID and have natural immunity in unvaccinated individuals.

I too would like to see that data. But that article is making a lot of assumptions. We know that the vaccine doesn't protect against variants with near the effectiveness of their original tests. What we don't know is how effective people with just natural immunity have against the variants. I'm for anyone over 18 being vaccinated anyways but I think it would be wise to see that data. That way IF natural immunity is just as good or better than the vaccines then we can vaccinate the rest of the world that much quicker and get over this thing.

So what your saying is speculation since you don't have enough data. Got it and hopefully you do for the 11th time. I believe the data is there but just being held back, no money in natural immunity

This I agree with you on. I don't agree with that taking the vaccine doesn't come with risk.

Actually we have lots of data on the protection levels of the vaccines against the Delta variants. Here is one of the latest of over 30+ studies that have been done. 88% is pretty close to the original virus.

Natural immunity vs Natural immunity + Vaccination we know that adding at least one additional dose provides more protection than just having natural immunity alone.

SSI and long term disability actuaries just lost their minds as all their spreadsheets were just rendered useless. I wonder how much fraud this will perpetuate. Worried that people will try and get covid to set themselves up for SSI and long term disability claims now.

I haven't speculated anything, I'm not the one making the fact based claims here. You made a fact based claim that natural immunity was SUPERIOR to vaccination. I asked you for evidence where you provided two links that did not show anything remotely close to what you claimed. Then here with your latest post since you failed to provide evidence to your claim you decided to make a conspiratorial statement that the data is being withheld due to nefarious reasons. How convenient. So which is it? We have studies or it's being withheld? You can't seem to make up your mind.

The Israeli data shows a different story. So not sure which one is correct at this time. But IF having natural immunity is 99%, that is better than 88%. Hence why I would like to see that data compared.
