    Trumpsters quickly went from "back the blue" to "beat the blue". It's cool, just touristy stuff.

    Sentencing = canceling for opinion

    A 32-page sentencing memo filed Thursday in the case of Paul Allard Hodgkins references cancel culture, and includes religious overtones and lengthy asides about the American Civil War. The memo describes Hodgkins’ role in the riots as minimal as it notes his good character traits, describing him as an Eagle Scout who volunteers helping animals and people.

    “A significant percentage of our population will ‘cancel’ Mr. Hodgkins because of 15 minutes of bad judgment, casting stones in his directions, all the while never fully realizing their own indiscretions and hypocrisy,” Tampa attorney Patrick Leduc wrote. “Mr. Hodgkins will have to wear this scarlet letter long after the sentence of this court is fully served.”

    Though a vast majority of the Jan 6 insurrectionists will have gotten away with their attack on the US, it's rather enjoyable seeing that even six months out, arrests are still being made.

    Like unarmed individuals and especially unarmed persons of color shot by the police? Although his shooting may very well have been justified if I recall Michael Brown was unarmed when he was shot by Officer Darren Wilson.

    Just sayin, if I am not mistaken they found one handgun at the "Insurrection". No doubt the crowd was trying to overthrow the government with bear spray and fire extinguishers. They were just lacking a few F15s & nukes.

    There weren’t a lot of arrests the day of the insurrection so we really don’t know how many were armed. And sticks, poles and cudgels are types of arms.

    Yeah, they were just going to give Pelosi their best regards, right? Bullshit. They would have taken her out and many others if they had the chance.

    You’re mistaken. I’ve addressed that multiple times in this thread. Maybe you should read it.

    So you're saying that a LEO should only use a firearm against a perpetrator who is similarly armed? And you're also saying the an attempt to prevent Congress from exercising it's Constitutional duty to ratify the votes of the Electoral College including threatening to lynch the Vice President isn't really an attempted insurrection? Maybe an attempted coup d'etat would be a little more accurate term it's still an illegal attempt to prevent the constitutional process of ultimately installing a newly elected president so that the incumbent could illegally remain in office. It's the attempt that mattered. Fortunately it had very little chance of actually succeeding but not to the participants.
