    A little confused here:

B117 - aka the UK variant - is the Alpha variant
B1617 - aka the Indian variant - is the Delta variant

Either way, I find the result interesting for the single shot approach. Yet, so far the two dose mRNA regiments from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna (can no longer say all mRNA vaccines after the Curevac failure) have been extremely effective against all variants in protecting from severe disease and death. That cannot be stated often enough in my opinion.

I'm sure I misheard. They were speaking about the delta varient - no doubt I got the number wrong. I'd guess they were also speaking of the US administered mRNA vaxes as it was US focused in it's discussion - addressing concerns about the spread of the delta variant in the UK.

We vaccinated my oldest who is 13. He just got his second shot last Friday. His only complaint was he had a sore arm for a day. He still went to do weight training and Tae Kwon Do after his shot. Of course not every kid is built the same. My advice for any parent is to consult their pediatrician and make the best decision for them.

Three months time period between first and second Pfizer shot….got second dose yesterday. Walgreens had to call Pfizer before they would administer it to me.
Sore arm this morning, but I feel pretty good otherwise.
Great news though, now my libbie friends will see me again.

I know of 2 unconnected people who recently got Covid, both had previously been vaccinated (one Pfizer and the other Moderna). We believe both cases have been the Delta variant (different symptoms), but that info isn't readily available.

Uh oh. Now I have achy, heavy feeling in my right upper arm. I received shot in my left arm yesterday though, which also feels heavy and achy.
I wonder does my right arm have super duper empathy for my left. Hmmm.

Covaxin showed 77.8% efficacy at intermediate read point in its Phase3 trial. Independent labs have previously convirmed that the vaccine from Bharat Biosciences will effectively neutralize the Delta Variant, aka the India Variant, aka B.1.1617.2. The company executives meet with the WHO tomorrow in the hopes of getting a "blessing" for emergency use against the SARS-CoV-2. This is already 1 or 3 vaccines authorized in India, with a 4th, locally manufactured version of the Novavax Synthetic Protein vaccine on the way.

Covaxin shows 77.8% efficacy a day before the company meets WHO officials

I would say mild symptoms on one were runny nose, headache one night chills. He was thinking he had a cold. Then he lost his smell and taste which prompted a covid test the pa that gave the test said she was seeing quite a few break through cases with this new variant. They don't tell you if you have the delta variant but those symptoms are very similar to a cold. I believe if you aren't vaccinated and you get this new variant you are screwed
