Love this post! I’ve been silting this regularly. The wife is away, and I’m watching more than usual.
Sounds interesting. I love those kinds of movies. Contact with Jodi Foster is one of my all time favorites in that genre.
Just saw quiet place 1 this wkend with my kids (one is big horror fan). Pretty well done. Not bad directorial debut for krasinski. (Not at theatre though. Still havent had that experience since '19).
Really irks me when you get a drive by thread….disappearing act. Probably never even saw the great movies I posted. Probably a libbie.
Anyone seen The guest &/or Good Time? If so, opinions appreciated. My wife & daughter are heading to Santa Fe & I was explicitly not invited
Good Time is good. Intense. The Safdie Brothers make movies that have powerful crazy energy. The Guest went a little too off the rails for me, but I loved the first 45 minutes or so.
Anyone seen the Soviet era Russian made and Russian language 7 1/2 hour War and Peace? ( i havr the dvd set (3disks)) It got great reviews--like off the charts adulation... no expense spared, no detail over looked... Hoping to hear from others, if anyone has sat through it.
I haven’t watched it yet, but “one wonders if "War and Peace" would have been as highly acclaimed as it was if it was published under its original name "War: What Is It Good For?”

Anybody seen the old David Cronenberg movie Dead Ringers? I’m so tempted to see it but I’m a bit scared.
Band of Brothers. Scored the 6 DVD tin can set for $1. Big time investment though. Worth it, or not? (to make it easy, hit the thumbs up "like" if yes, or thumbs down "DL" if no--of course, replies are always appreciated).
Gonna try to brave the Covid and go see QP2 this weekend................ Have not been to a "movie theater" in forever!
I loved the series 92, I think you will to, really good acting with flashbacks to the real soldiers whom are still alive.
