Worst effort since 2018 Columbus debacle. Lifeless on the offensive end. Played OK on the defensive end. No forecheck at all. Lowest effort I have seen in 2 years. Better bounce back tomorrow or it's gonna be really tough.
Worst call in NHL history. Point is about to score, gets crosschecked, the call goes against him, NYI scores to tie. Just garbage.
completely agree. That was nonsense. These refs are swallowing the whistle when it comes to penalties against the Bolts
And they are trying to make a meaningless Too many man no call as some sort of equal justice. That call on Point was a two goal swing. He would have scored.
Much more urgency tonight and they did what they had to. Wasn’t a big fan of the instigating and fighting, this team should be able to get fired up without that. But take at least one on Long Island and get things back in line.
I was OK with all of it because it took NYI off their game while beating them at their game. We took their best shot in game one, now we need to play our game on Long Island.
And yeah, the penalty on Point was one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. What made it worse was that it was the trail referee that called it, he came skating in from downtown Tampa with his arm up. And the refs didn’t huddle, and of course no replay. Was a joke.
Happened right in front of me. Point was pretty much thrown into the goalie. Saw the ref skate in from behind with his arm in the air and thought Yay power play! We were bewildered when Point went to the box. Horrible call.
Just tell those bozos they aren’t Original 6 like the Rangers. Oh wait, neither are we......never mind
I haven’t seen a game from Nassau in a while, what s dump. Ice was awful, crazy board bounces… The islander goal was just an awful decision by the defensemen, I was yelling at the screen before the goal went in. And then for most of the third anytime Tampa would get possession they tried for an odd man break or some other rush and gave it right back. But the last few minutes were nails. Would love to win one more up there, but the islanders are going to come out swinging on Saturday.
