VAERS has been updated through 5/7. They are generally a week or two behind, because they need to compile and weed out the crazy stuff.

And your kids? If the Brazil variant proves out to be as dangerous to kids as other variants, as early indicators suggest, your kids are not perfectly safe. If the Brazil variant proves out to be similar to other variants in terms of danger to kids, first, thank goodness, and second, the best way to prevent a variant that is more dangerous to kids is through mass vaccinations. COVID will mutate, and the more time and people infected, the more mutations/variants there will be. Can't effect time, be we can effect the number of people who get COVID by vaccinating them.

So we don't have confirmed data on auto accidents and you say you were for sure wrong on that. But we don't have confirmed data on suicides either and you say we'll just have to wait to know for sure. Got it. This is how you operate.

Well I got my second shot today. A little sore in the left arm, but he was never my favorite arm anyways...

He claimed over and over again that I demanded schools should be closed too. Never happened. It's embarrassing to watch this guy try to win cheap points on a message board, especially when he is so wrong.

More What/If's from you. My kids are safe. I'm safe. Life is back to normal. It's ok to say that.

Car deaths even if revised will still be above. They aren't as hard to determine as suicides hence they don't take over a year almost to confirm. And people wonder why I hit back...

Again, here's an article on COVID in Brazil.

Marinho, who is leading a study tallying the death toll among children based on both suspected and confirmed cases, estimates that more than 2,200 children under 5 have died since the start of the pandemic, including more than 1,600 babies less than a year old.

“We are seeing a huge impact on children,” said Marinho. “It’s a number that’s absurdly high. We haven’t seen this anywhere else in the world.” Experts in Brazil, Europe and the United States agree that the number of children’s deaths from COVID-19 in Brazil appeared to be particularly high.

“Those numbers are surprising. That’s a lot higher than what we’re seeing in the United States,” said Dr. Sean O’Leary, vice chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ committee on infectious diseases, and a pediatrics infectious disease specialist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. “By any of the measures that we’re following here in the United States, those numbers are quite a bit higher.”
And yes, more what ifs from me. We took such a cavalier attitude towards COVID 16 months ago, thinking it was just another flu, only a few cases soon to be down to zero, and will one day magically go away. Now look. Over 3 million dead world-wide and around 600,000 here in the US. You would think, by now, any COVID threat would be taken seriously, and we all work together to prevent the worst case scenario. And make no mistake, if the Brazil variant is as deadly to kids as other COVID, it's a hell of a threat. So are all other, potential variants. Why everyone isn't taking every stop possible to end this threat for all of us will always escape me.

It's not a matter of if COVID mutates into a new variant, it's when. Where the if comes in is if we can get enough vaccinated before the next variant, which could be significantly more deadly to all, or equally deadly to kids. May be too late. Again, see Brazil.

What if COVID is just like another flu? Wasn't that question asked on this board about 16 months ago? How did that answer turn out?

Perhaps you did not "demand" it, but pretty sure you spoke against them reopening for a time.
