Just imagine - many risked their lives, and did what they could to save those representatives. And gop is like, “meh, whatever. But Trump might scold us!”

It’s actually depressing what gop are doing to MPD.

Blue Lives Matter to supporters of Trump, including the overwhelming majority of Republican office holders, unless the lives are those of the police (MPD and Capitol Police) defending the US Capitol from pro-Trump hooligans.

And I was out in Seattle two summers ago and I’ll be damned if our videos weren’t similar to last year’s “Summer of Love” also.

I think they had to fear a potential massacre.

actually summer of love was cali, San Fran specifically. And the prior joke worked because lots of kids take pics at US capital. And a gop member specifically said the maga riotous mob looked like “normal tourist visit“. Soooo yeah....your joke missed.

The gop move to cover all this up is equally as despicable as the events of Jan 6 and amounts to tacit approval.

'We could have the summer of love!': Seattle mayor says she doesn't know when CHAZ occupation will conclude

And it was an adequately pithy retort to the post to which it was directed.

Apparently, you simply didn't get the joke.

Her quote effectively dubbed the CHAZ crap in Seattle, "a Summer of Love", AND he (@stingbb ) removes any question, when he clarifies with "...LAST YEAR'S SUMMER OF LOVE."

    Cover up?

Nah. Just not piss tens of billions of dollars *investigating*, and turning a collection of individual crimes, into a witch trial for burning your political adversaries.

Y'all just love you some inquisition, don't y'all?

The US Capitol is sacked for the first time since the War of 1812 by an angry mob and it's "no big deal".
We are citizens, not subjects (unless the Trumpists are successful in destroying the republic in favor of their authoritarian wet dreams). We have a right to know what happened and based on those findings taking steps to make sure it does not happen again. We may not be as fortunate next time. It seems some are disappointed that it did not work and that the likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Pence et all did not end up swinging in the breeze. Maga maga maga....
The gop has no genuine interest in finding out what happened "nothing to see here".
The party of law and order my ass....

Are people really this stupid over trump?
It’s absolutely mind boggling. Every conman in America has been waking up with a hard-on since Jan 6th.

Marcy does a deep dive into the filings regarding Ethan Nordean, Proud Boys leader, one of the primary protagonists, and states what the harmonized competing filings show

Thus far, filings in the Proud Boys Leadership conspiracy case have shown that:

    • The Proud Boys started preparing a compartmented cell structure in anticipation of the January 6 insurrection on December 29
    • Enrique Tarrio anticipated he would be arrested when he came to DC on January 4 and so provided for a succession plan
    • Charles Donohoe allegedly attempted to destroy evidence of past planning in the wake of Tarrio’s arrest, specifically in an attempt to avoid gang charges (whether he succeeded or not remains contested)
    • In the aftermath of January 6, the Proud Boys (and Nordean specifically) took steps to prepare for war
    • In Seattle, the Proud Boys responded to Nordean’s arrest by ensuring the continuity of the organization
Again, none of this is exculpatory for Nordean. It shows the Proud Boys operating like sophisticated terrorist groups have operated in the past, in an attempt to retain viability while under government scrutiny.
