Facts and actual voting records have no place in the new QOP. Kiss the orange ass or get cancelled. What a dumpster fire.
Will anyone remember this in two weeks? The bandwagoning circus revival will continue to march on. The question is will people jump on or off the bandwagon? Being a pessimist, Q takes the midterms
yep, the general public has the attention span of a gnat. Would not surprise me if the q anon caucus takes both houses in 22 and immediately starts new benghazi/email/hunter biden hearings.....
Beginning to think smart people don't actually understand how politics works in a winner take all two party system of government. Maybe FSU and UF should do what's best for football in this state and work together on an outcome of the football game they can all agree on, that way we all win!
I am well aware of the practice of realpolitik. Our understanding of how politicians conduct themselves is not the problem, here. The problem is how politicians conduct themselves. Also, I don't think your analogy is sound. There is no illusion that FSU and UF are working towards a common goal. Politics is not supposed to be a "winner-take-all" sport. Politicians are elected to represent the people. Lastly, I enjoy healthy discussion, but when you tag serious posts with "funny", it sets a bad tone for further conversations with the person you are responding to. It's in poor taste.
Exactly. We need to demand more of our elected leaders. And I won't get shamed for thinking we're better than this.
There is no reason to believe political parties are working towards a common goal either. What concrete goal would that even be? Politics is about power and using it, and our system is means if you dont win, you dont have any power. If you dont have power, you run against the people that do and try to disempower them. That's just logical.
Well, the Republicans are "demanding more" from their leaders and purging the ones that wont play ball, yet people seem to be complaining.
The internal polling is showing some diminishment in his favorability and the 200 former Republicans officials saying they are leaving the party.
I'm not saying what and why of what they are demanding is good. But they are doing what you said, demanding more from their leaders, holding them to account, etc.
Yeah, I said "we." I'm not one of the insane extremists. I am talking about the rational patriots in this country. Those who care more about the country than they do their party.
Oh, I was hoping you'd seen things more substantive that I'd missed. The former GOP officials announcing they're leaving reminds me of Family Matters, after everyone would yell at Urkel to go home and he'd say, "I don't have to take this, I'm going home."
The problem I see is it going to take action that will be called "insane" and "extremist" by the people opposed to those actions to fix this country because it will involve breaking the political power of the GOP. Or we can keep wishing the Republicans will fix themselves and no one will have to do anything or be bothered.
It would be nice if the Republicans fixed themselves. But I am all in favor of passing the For The People Act to at least work towards fixing what they're trying to break.
