Just saw an interview on CNN with Tom Clare, the lead attorney representing Dominion. Although he wasn't specific regarding future defendants he clearly implied that Rudy Giuliani wasn't the last defendant and did say that no one can be ruled out. My guess is that Lin Wood is probably next followed by Fox and its infotainment stars. Although I do not have any idea whether it will happen or not I would really love to see Trump put in a position in which he would have to deliver a public retraction.

Rudy's defense is as frivolous as the allegations he made in the lawsuits in which he represented the Trump campaign. And by the way Sullivan doesn't provide complete immunity although it does raise the bar for a plaintiff in a defamation lawsuit against a media outlet. In addition to proving that a statement is untrue the plaintiff must also prove that the statement was made with "actual malice", meaning that the defendant either knew the statement was false or recklessly disregarded whether or not it was true. Seems that Rudy almost certainly knew that it was untrue or recklessly disregarded whether it was true or not. It's just a matter of time before Rudy enters into a settlement in which he agrees to publicly retract his allegations against Dominion and hopefully he will be forced to do so in both writing and through a video presentation. Additionally, not insignificant monetary damages are probably also in the cards.

It is almost never wise to pursue a defamation claim for all kinds of reasons but Dominion had no choice in this case if they wanted to survive as a company

Defendants decided to make Smartmatic the villain in their story,” the suit says.
Trump himself is noticeably absent from these suits. He is a straight up master at setting up people to take the fall for him. I bet a review of Trump's statements on this, at least the public ones, would be vague enough to not contain any specific accusations against Dominion and Smartmatic, like "Someone needs to looking this, how'd I go from winning on election night to losing the next day. It's rigged!" ... but behind the scenes I'm sure he was egging on Rudy and rest to go public with the QAnon/4Chan troll's conspiracy theories.
Powell also said she had proof that GA Gov. Kemp's family was compensated for his agreement to use Dominion machines. Yet it will be a cold day day in hell before that feckless man objects to it much less sues for defamation.
Largely true. The rambling 40-something minute rant about the election would probably be their best bet, but it isn't a great one. He put it mostly into the language of his job, where he called the firm "suspect," which is tough to prove false because it basically means nothing, and then said that we should move to entirely paper ballots, a policy position because of that. The one thing that could get him into trouble in what I saw would be the line about how it could switch your votes, but he definitely kept it far more vague than his surrogates.
To that point, what in the hell has happened to Maria Bartiromo? At one point, she was one of the most highly regarded and well respected women in the financial news field and a top contributor to Business Week magazine. I don't know what Fox pays here, but beyond the money, her career has completely gone off the rails.
