Since DC is such an unusual animal...
With typical jurisdictions and planning, surrounding agencies would have already been on the ground with them from the beginning. Does DC not work that way?

And wonder what numbers of personnel he had deployed vs other protests.

I will always be thankful for everything President Trump did for our country. I'm also thankful those extremists on the left like Obama help bring us Trump.
I would be happy if both sides actually worked together for the good of our country, but after the way the left has treated our president and any of his supporters I don't see that happening anytime soon.

former MAGA darling posted this and now MAGAts are ripping him a new one lol. Sad when an 18-year old has a better grip on reality than grown adults.

If you think Obama is an extremist I somehow doubt you would like to see both sides working together. Seems like a lie.

He did nothing to bring our country together, now it seems you're being dishonest. That's the truth

8 years and he did nothing.

1+1 = 2, not 11. 2 + 2 = 4. not 22. In Trumplandia, exaggeration and flat out lies rule, and the truth sucks "if it gets in the way of me and my deal. Don't you know who I am??".

Is that the definition of an extremist, someone who does nothing to bring our country together?

If so you can clearly add yourself to the extremist list. And we will need a new category for Trump, who actively divides our country.

Great post, thanks! But can anyone prove #1 that "antifa" is a nationally organized radical lefty group, and #2, that if they are, they were at all these protests inciting rioting and fires?

I just haven't see any evidence of either, just accusations.

MAGAts desperately mentioning Obama to deflect from Trump and his loyal band of MAGA domestic terrorists wreaking havoc on D.C loll. Donald Trump is the greatest terror threat to America since Osama bin Laden, and his MAGA domestic terrorists are Al Queda.

Although he has done incalculable damage to this country over the last four years, I am thankful that Trump brought us Democratic control of the Presidency and both Houses of Congress. As I said in another post, Trump's malignant narcissism and massive ego are largely responsible for the Democratic victory in the Georgia senatorial runoff election. By sewing distrust in that state's electoral process over the last two months he managed to suppress turnout in a number of strongly Republican counties that he carried in November.

Really? Is that why he won a second term convincingly? You're concerned with bringing our country together YET you are "thankful for everything trump did for the country" - that includes a concerted effort to tear us apart. Smart.

It's funny you bring up kids. The retired LtCol that was photographed with a the zip ties claims they weren't his. He said he saw them, was worried so he picked them up to return them to the police at the first opportunity but forgot about them.

Faux victimization is a feature of authoritarianism. It’s the hook that authoritarians like Trump use. It’s how he identifies with them (no one has been treated worse than me) and how he creates enemies and others from within, to create frothy support. “He is like me. He is a victim of the [press, immigrants, minorities] enemy too.” And it is how authoritarians become the “truth teller” to those who are taken in, causing them to ignore facts and develop their own authoritarian based reality. They are victimized, like their authoritarian, and if he is in charge, they won’t be and they will get to victimize others and put them in their “rightful” place.

It’s what you see among posters like that. It’s a feature, not a bug.
