To be a female mouthpiece for the GOP your only qualification is to be above a 6/10 on the looks scale. These dudes are so thirsty they don't care what the women say.

I didn't say a large percentage. I said large numbers. As in, more than a few. Numerous off-duty cops were at the front of the lines charging the building, as evidence by the fact that some of them took out their badges and showed them to the capitol police.

Yeah, cause THAT is what is all over the news. Every news outlet is debating it. not. It's a debate topic that deserves to be addressed though on forums like this. Remember the passive protesters that were hit with rubber bullets, tear gas and thrown to the ground so orange man could take a picture in front of a church? I want to see that if those terrorists come back

Disclosing Pelosi's location is unacceptable. Should be unanimous vote.

Well, that makes the defense a little tougher to sell?

Actually, that is mob mentality. They get caught up with the worst of the mob.

Bear in mind, too, that a lot of people never went in.

I wouldn’t even call them lies, even though they are. It’s more like a world of delusion. As the world moves further and further away from them each day, what they have to tell themselves to rationalize the world their world view gets more and more extreme.
Perfect example, despite everything, 90 percent of republicans believed trump would win the election. And yes, that’s a real number. So when he didn’t win, what was going to happen? 90 percent couldn’t be wrong, so it had to be fraud. Which of course got a supercharge from Trump in a whole bunch of ways. Add right wing radio playing to people’s fears, OANN, echo chambers like Parler etc.
    A pretty combustible mix.

Trumps forced resignation/impeachment/25th Amendment should also be obvious and unanimous. Yet, it just isn’t.

Too many nut jobs in the house. Not only would her expulsion not be unanimous, it might not be possible, but we’ll see. 140 voted to destroy democracy, but even within that group theres a handful that certainly went beyond the pale and should be removed.

She offered information that could have led to the death of the person who was third in the line of succession.

I know. My point is those 140 who voted to throw the election will probably vote similarly on expulsion.

USSC Thomas's wife paid for 80 busses of protestors to attend and then cheered them on. should he be impeached?

Clarence Thomas’ Wife Cheered On White Supremacists At The Capitol | NewsOne

Reckonings continue inside the Beltway as public figures continue to be exposed for their blatant complicity regarding the violent mob who attacked Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

The latest is that of Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas who on Jan. 6 posted two disparaging posts on Facebook aligning with the baseless claims to overturn the outcome of the election, while sending support to the majority white, violent mob that attacked the Capitol.

Justice Thomas is the longest-serving current justice, having joined the court in 1991 by dodging sexual harassment accusations from his former employee Anita Hill.

Thomas, a longtime conservative lobbyist seems to take full advantage of the fact that a spouse of a Supreme Court Justice is a private citizen and immune from impeachment. And Justice Thomas’ silence regarding her disseminating conspiracy theories speaks volumes, much like his deferment to opt out of weighing in regarding controversial rulings in reference to race and social justice. He has also refused to recuse himself from cases involving Trump when its been proven that his wife holds blind allegiance.

Clarence Thomas’ wife supported rioters before siege: ‘Love MAGA’ (yahoo.com)

God bless each of you,’ Ginni Thomas wrote in a Facebook post to support the attempted takeover of the Capitol.

Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, shared support for the rioters who stormed the Capitol on Wednesday.

On Facebook, Mrs. Thomas expressed explicit love for the violent chaos carried out by supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump, who are against the confirmation of President-elect Joe Biden. Mark Joseph Stern, a staff writer at Slate, shared screenshots of the status updates on Twitter.

In one post, she shared “LOVE” to the MAGA crowd, offering support and suggesting others to tune in to the riot. In another Facebook status, she stated, in mostly all caps, “God bless each of you standing up or praying!”

It wouldn't accomplish anything to impeach him. Thomas's wife has always been a right-wing extremists, and Thomas is just fine with that because he doesn't really hide that he's also a right-wing extremist. He should have never gotten on the Court.

But he's there, and there's nothing much anybody can do about it, as wrong as it is that his wife acts that way. Am I opposed to impeaching him? No. Frankly, he deserves it. Will it go anywhere? Nope.

Lt General Walter Piatt seems to be the "patriot" that obstructed getting national guard involved.

Outgoing Capitol Police chief: House, Senate security officials hamstrung efforts to call in National Guard (msn.com)

“I am making an urgent, urgent immediate request for National Guard assistance,” Sund recalled saying. “I have got to get boots on the ground.”

On the call were several officials from the D.C. government, as well as officials from the Pentagon, including Lt. Gen. Walter E. Piatt, director of the Army Staff. The D.C. contingent was flabbergasted to hear Piatt say that he could not recommend that his boss, Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy, approve the request.

“I don’t like the visual of the National Guard standing a police line with the Capitol in the background,” Piatt said, according to Sund and others on the call.

    ................
Contee sought to quiet the din. “Wait, wait,” he said, and then directed attention to Sund. “Steve, are you requesting National Guard assistance at the Capitol?”

Sund said he replied: “I am making urgent, urgent, immediate request for National Guard assistance.”

But Piatt, dialed in from across the river at the Pentagon, pushed back, according to Sund, saying he would prefer to have Guard soldiers take up posts around Washington, relieving D.C. police, so that they could respond to the Capitol instead of guardsmen. Sund’s account is supported by four D.C. officials on the call, including Bowser.

Biden should relieve him of duty and strip him of his rank if this is true (and if that is possible).
