"they call me a fuc.... terrorist and then want to ruin my life"....can't dispute that analogy and certainly do enjoy that he may be a bit upset. Another "patriot" feeling emotionally distraught. So sad.

From the guy complaining about liberals "excusing" BLM protestors - like the 70 year old white guy who was shoved to the ground for standing on a sidewalk or the people on their knees who were tear gassed so Trump could hold a bible... upside down. That idiot of an unarmed woman was crawling across a barricade toward elected representatives with an angry mob toward an officer with a pistol drawn who said "If you enter, I will shoot." Damn, you are unbelievably obtuse and biased.

I will never forget when younger Bush ran and I heard a guy say "I'm gonna vote for him. He seems like a guy I could have a beer with." I had two thoughts. First, that is a damn low bar. Second, don't we want the best and the brightest running our country. I mean, when we look for football recruits we do not seek "good kids we could have a beer with" (if they were 21). We want the most talented. Somewhere along the line being educated, worldly, and considered has been confused with being elite, snobby, and arrogant.

I always tell people that if I am the smartest guy in the room, I want to find a different room. Conservatives now seem to be seeking a basement.

Wow. The fact that someone like this was even elected is shameful.

You are excusing them by trying to compare them to protests for racial justice that suffered from looters. You lump all people (BLM) into rioters from this summer and analogize them to people trying to overthrow our government. Disingenuous at best, race baiting at worst. And if it bothers you to have the question of your position on racial relations in this country questioned by so many, perhaps you should look at yourself instead of attacking everyone on this thread, no?

BS. Your party loves Trump. Huge rallies. Boat parades. And a celebration of Trump at the GOP winter meetings that ended after the failed coup.

I suggest, instead of us looking in the mirror, that you do. 2/3 of the House GOP accepted Trump's election lies because they are afraid to cross the dogged supporters who make the excuses you do.

And, sorry, As OI said earlier, the blame for Trump is not on those who oppose him.

The blame is on those in the GOP who vote for all the worst of Trump.

    Own it.

In Capital, a G.O.P. Crisis. At the R.N.C. Meeting, a Trump Celebration.

Is that what they're chattering about on TOS? I sort of doubt that scenario.

Or did you get locked out for refusing to pay the rent?

    Except BLM rioted this summer...

Im not trying to excuse them, I’m trying to bring in consistent outrage towards all violence rather than outrage for one but not the other because you may believe the outrage behind the riots may be justified.

This post down stream in that thread is hilarious, and spot on, especially the part about the right wing media relabeling the "patriots" as "antifa actors"... LOL

At every rally, boat parade, Jeep caravan, etc, confederate flags are flying. If it was unacceptable people would say so and stop it. It is not.

This coming from an old fat redneck. History will judge the lies and support harshly. I hope.

Ya'll are debating with people trying to equate an attempt at overthrowing our government with riots for social equality. Just stop. Save your efforts.

Posted in another thread, NBC reporting that both the FBI and NYPD briefed Capital Police about threats. FBI even was contacting some posters in advance.

    Reply posted in another thread...
Yes, but passing on info. to Capital Police did not protect our Building assets and required our VP, his family and Congressional members and staff to flee for their lives. Understand the Capital Police leadership totally dropped the ball, but a serious failure in chain of command occurred by many parties including DOD not allowing Maryland National Guard into DC for hours. Sorta the 'perfect storm' of blunders and mistakes by multiple agencies.
Congress will need to define and establish a 'new' enemy of our Republic, the domestic terrorist, and write some legislation allowing the FBI, NSA, and Homeland Security certain needed authority to surveil, monitor and combat domestic terrorists, formerly known by DJT as 'Patriots'. Of course, this new legislation will NOT go over well with the domestic terrorists and a few Republicans.
