He just cannot shut up can he? So much like that fella from Germany years ago that kept the speeches coming and kept the hate growing because he felt it as his destiny. I think acknowledging this pattern would make dealing with the Trump on a much more basic scale more logical. He isnt complicated. Just a man that needs to be made important.

One only has to look at how the police, our government, treated the white attackers on the capital versus protestors this summer to see the institutional racism in this country. Stealing from the book "A Time to Kill", imagine those protestors were all black carrying "Black Power" flags in the capital, or better yet Muslim carrying a banner of Islam instead of the stars and bars. Our entire country would be going insane. I often recommend the book "White Fragility" for people looking to understand the deep implicit and institutional racism, but the defenses of so many ("but I'm not racist", "that was the past") is strong even in the face of such obvious events.

I reject the notion that the fact that BLM riots did not take place within the Capitol building makes them somehow better or less severe than the MAGA Capitol riot... BLM riots went on for weeks during the Summer. How long did the Capitol riot last? A couple hours?

BLM has had some looting, rioting, vandalism, throughout the Summer. Antifa literally took over cities. And if any Black person would die in any of these riots, the entire country would be in an uproar.

For the people who died in the MAGA Capitol riots, people are saying, Black people would have been treated worse. That response is absolutely ridiculous and frankly insane.

4 people die in a BLM protest, and cities start burning.

People died. An unarmed woman died.

    This narrative is complete BS.

4 people die in a BLM protest and cities start burning.

To say the morons that stormed the capitol didn't do it on a false premise is possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read on the internet, and I lurked on the Vol Boards for the past two years after losses. The mass of morons at the capital believe the election was stolen, that is just plain ignorant.

It didn't occur to him before that this might not be a good or legal thing to do?

I don't actually believe that, I'm saying that this would be the right-ring equivalent to how folks here treated the BLM riots, which are also based on false premises.

CEO of a company who lives in a wealthy suburb. Must be all that economic anxiety that caused him to have a momentary lapse in judgement where he....bought a plane ticket, booked a hotel, cleared his schedule, and traveled to DC.

What would prove to you that systemic racism exists in the US?

Didn't the rioters storm the Capitol because they'd been convinced the election was stolen? Or do you know of another reason?

Uh, when you say "Unlike the rioters who stormed the Capitol, BLM protests are based on a false premise ..." you're saying the Capitol rioters were not based on a false premise.
    So what was their premise?

So a racist judge that gave white criminals the shortest sentence under the law, and black criminals the longest sentences wouldn't be evidence of systemic racism because the judge was following the law? There's a long history of this happening in the US.
