Violent thugs and hooligans brutally attack police officers in D.C.

It's nice to see you actually caring for a police officer now. This entire situation is sad. This was caused by both sides and has been building for years

 

I disagree. Obama and the left is what got us Trump. Just as Trump and some on the right got us Biden. So since I have always backed Trump and still do you consider me a domestic terrorist

 

Are they? A whole lot of them are ok with violence and vandalism? I don’t see that on this board. An occasional expression of understanding isn’t a whole lot support for violence and vandalism.

I can speak for myself. I was greatly bothered watching that police station (can’t remember which protest) be attacked and abandoned. I had no use for that action.

I fully supported, and marched in some, a whole lot of peaceful demonstrations.

I think the vast majority of folks are in the same place, whether left or right. They encourage protest and dissent and abhor looting, vandalism and violence.

One very different thing in this case is the President and key supporters were involved in promoting the mess we saw.

Domestic terrorist? No. Poorly informed? Definitely. Something about bragging of being a Trump supporter, even after seeing his notable moments, tells me you enjoy the uniqueness and controversy of announcing that connection. That maybe you like being an instigator too much and find entertainment in being opposite to acceptable norms. You most likely are not much fun at mixed events. But the domestic terrorist title is left for those actually doing terrorism and not for simply being misguided.

 

Screw every single Republican in the House that parroted this (traitor Matt Geatz) or cheered when it was presented on the House Floor. There should be people expelled from congress as the first step of the convened Congress.

Facial Recognition Firm: Washington Times Antifa Story False

A facial recognition company says a viral Washington Times story claiming it identified antifa members among the mob that stormed the Capitol on Wednesday is completely false.

XRVision told BuzzFeed News it asked the conservative news outlet for a retraction and apology over the story, which was cited in the House of Representatives after the riot late Wednesday by Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, an ardent Trump supporter.

On Wednesday, the Washington Times published a story that claimed XRVision “used its software to do facial recognition of protesters and matched two Philadelphia Antifa members to two men inside the Senate.” It claimed one man “has a tattoo that indicates he is a Stalinist sympathizer” and the other “is someone who shows up at climate and Black Lives Matter protests in the West.” The story did not name the men or provide evidence that they were involved in antifa, a decentralized group of "anti-fascists" who go to protests around the US and whom the right often uses as a bogeyman.

It’s really just hyper-hypocrisy. When is the last time 0607 called anyone out for referring to antifa as thugs?

Of course it’s never, and of course we are just going to ignore that while trying to find the spec in our brothers eye.

 

I would consider you more of an enabler. You seem to be fine with normalizing that which should not be considered normal. If you can still find the time and wherewithal to declare your support for trump, even if you feel the other side is as bad or worse, you are doing nothing to diffuse a tense situation. (Of course, neither am I, but I think trump is a thug and needs to be called out.) There can be an objectively wrong side, an objectively incorrect opinion--this is where you currently stand.

 

Caused by both sides? One side protests peacefully, the other side violently occupied the capital. I get it now, you were mocking Trump saying both sides have good people after a klan rally.
