Poked his head out of the room? He was literally standing there with his gun pointed at the people trying to break their way in. The cops with the long guns likely didn't shoot because they would have been shooting into a protected area.

That doesn't sound like advocating for violence to me.

That seems to be calling for protest and outrage, not violence.

Democrats do the exact same thing all of the time.

Look I agree Trump needs to calm everybody down, which he's terrible at doing.

But there's a difference between firing people up and getting people upset over a false narrative, again, something the media and frankly all politicians seem to make a habit of doing... and explicitly advocating for violence.

Really warms the heart, doesn't it? You know, seeing all those red hats and Trump flags, and the respect they have for our country and law enforcement.

Why on earth did the republican party decide to hitch their wagon to Donald Trump? They gave him a voice, and let him stir up the worst in everyone.

Kinzinger calls for invoking the 25th! A GOP rep. How about that. I'd love to buy that guy a beer.

Maxine Waters has said worse without a shred of outrage from people on this thread.

I saw the video of that lone cop trying to hold back a mob of like 40 with a baton, of course he kept retreating. You can’t blame him.

Sad to say but this probably changes the level of security and public openness at Congress forever. Just another thing Trump ruined.

I dont see how anyone could conclude he meant "cheer them on" by fighting harder and not showing weakness from outside the building peacefully lol. Obviously your criteria involve him giving highly specific, detailed instructions on how to break the law.

Yesterday's protesters turned seditious rioters did feel they were not being heard. Which is why they rioted. The problem is, their ridiculous claims of an election being stolen have been heard and dismissed for serious lack of evidence. Team Trump is 1 for 60 in court cases, and the 1 win did not prove widespread voter fraud. Trump himself is delusional, and so are his followers. Yesterday's actions should go down as the the language of the unheard. It's more the language of the absurd.

What he meant by "fighting harder" is subject to interpretation.

I have seen evidence of President Trump explicitly asking for the protests to be peaceful. I have seen evidence of President Trump calling for outrage, anger, and protests. I've seen evidence of President Trump stoking the flames of people who are already upset.

I have not seen evidence of him advocating for violence.
