Wonder if we'll ever find out who the shooter is?

Literally any of those people they "let" in could have been armed with a suicide bomb. I mean, why not? I think they didn't want to escalate the situation by using a bunch of deadly force, but damn was it warranted.

Lol. I mean, when he casually phrases it as a "Trump Supporter inside the Capitol Building" I'm pretty sure his desire to be taken seriously goes out the window.

Yeah because that's what happened with weeks and weeks of riots last summer.

Its quite apparent most of our law enforcement revolves around what authorities believe some people are capable of, rather than any sort of neutral risk-assessment protocol.

Yes, and to be clear, I do not actually blame the out numbered, under prepared Capitol police who were standing the post. The failure is in the leadership well above the rank and file. The restraint of the few folks on the ground and attempting not to escalate when they were so badly out numbered (and likely out gunned) was well done.

The law enforcement officer is literally pointing his gun at you (which is absolutely a warning) and you breach the area. Brutal crime my ass. They were there to protect government officials from a frenzied mob.

Remind me when BLM stormed the Capitol during a joint session? I cannot find that on the google machine.

Fmr AG Bill Barr says Donald Trump's conduct as a violent mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol was a "betrayal of his office and supporters." In a statement to The AP, Barr said that "orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable."

As angry as I was watching these morons overrun the building, I was in favor of this. It would have laid the foundation that there are simply lines you can not and do not cross. I was flat out LIVID seeing this happen in my country. This isn't some third-world banana republic. This is the United States. I can't fathom how anyone can call themselves a patriot while smashing windows and breaching security in the literal halls of our government. This is without a doubt the worst display of party over country ever.

If it were up to me, every single person who entered that building unauthorized would have left either in handcuffs, or a body bag. Their choice...

Which is ironic, because only two skin tones are known for bombings in the US.

There are also photos of a couple people carrying zip ties. Probably just to secure loot to their internet tactical gear

This should be easy, but can somebody please share the best evidence of Trump inciting the riots. It seems as though even some Republicans think that Trump was fanning the flames, but there's a big difference between saying things that piss people off... and asking people to get violent and accepting that violence.

“We're going to have to fight much harder," Trump told supporters at a rally near the White House before the assault, adding: "We are going to walk down to the Capitol, and we're going to cheer on our brave senators, congressmen and women, and we are probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you will never take back our country with weakness." They immediately did exactly that.

Telling the crowd to march and fight isn’t enough.

We will throw in comments about stealing the election, take your country back.... etc, etc

Just say my bad and move on over this one
