Hmm, so lets look at the age of most health care workers. The vast majority will fall in the 21-55 age bracket. That roughly equates to 191 million people in the US. There is around 22,300 people who have died under 55 from Covid(we can debate that number another time). So do the math on that and get back to me.

Why would we need to extrapolate (complete with assumptions that are only partially applicable) from other data that may or may not be representative when we have data that directly answers the question? Because you don't like the answer? "The vast majority" are likely 21-55. You know what all healthcare workers are? Healthcare workers.

Man 4 special operators died in the Tongo Tongo ambush. We have 1.3 million active duty personnel.

Should we care about them or any other policies to try to avoid it happening again? What if trying to avoid that causes inconvenience to someone? Should anyone be inconvenienced and lose their freedom to do whatever they want to just to try to address this situation?

999 out of 1000 people under the age of 55 will survive Covid. No other discussion needed. You can try to make up some bs, but that’s all it will be. Sorry you don’t like the numbers. More L’s for you I see.

As long as I know I’ll be in the 999 group then nothing for me to worry about.

Lol. To recap: we are talking about healthcare worker mortality. I provide the data for mortality of healthcare workers, 100% of which are healthcare workers. You think the better data is an age dataset, in which it contains most (but not all) healthcare workers, as well as the vast majority of people, who don't work in healthcare (some of whom aren't even 18, as 5 year olds are under 55). To assess healthcare worker mortality.

    You are funny.

Imagine that Steve King and Louis Gohmert, armed with an unlimited supply of Red Bull, debate the entire National Academy of Sciences continuously for ten months. It’s like that, only worse.

You need help with math. The data you provided says 648 healthcare workers have died thru July. Let’s say that’s doubled since then. Well, there are over 20 million healthcare workers in the US. How’s that math going? Looks like I’m due another apology from you.

Health Care Still Largest U.S. Employer

The L’s keep piling up for you. Sorry. Get back to defending schools being closed. That really worked out well for you as well...

Dude...seriously...stop digging. This is getting cringe inducing on your part. We were discussing case fatality rates and you know that. Nobody was arguing that 1% of the entire US population (or all healthcare workers) has died from Covid. If you get Covid and are a healthcare worker, you have a 1% chance of dying.

Regardless, for anybody interested in actual data:

Case fatality rates for healthcare workers are at about 1%. Glad I can point out some real data from the CDC on the thread.

I know you will keep responding as long as I do because your self-worth seems really tied up in this and because you can't stand anybody else having the last word, so have fun.

No we aren’t. Not one person brought up “if you get Covid this is your chance of dying”. Point out where I said CFR. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Good effort to deflect though. Zero respect for someone who doesn’t admit they are wrong. I at least respect the guys on the board who admitted they were wrong about schools staying closed. You are showing your true colors. 999 out of 1000. L again for you but now you are lying again to try to not look like a fool.

Even if we take your numbers as correct, that is a high enough rate that most healthcare workers are already required to get a yearly vaccine for a virus with those numbers.

It’s not because we see reports of health care workers turning down the vaccine. IF they require it what happens if 20-30% say no? The odds of a random Health care worker dying from Covid is similar to the flu. Difference being they flu vaccine is fda approved.

And then I read this. To avoid being primaried, at least 22 Senators and 140 Representatives must vote to destroy American democracy, because they deem that is what their constituents demand. And they're probably correct. which tells you how many people want to destroy democracy, would prefer autocracy rather than accept an electoral outcome they disagree with.

I know I said I wouldn't respond, but, man the irony and lack of self awareness here is just so perfect. But sure, I bet phil meant that 1% of the population was dead, not that 1% of the people with covid die. I wanted to see how far you would push an obvious point on which you were wrong, and you didn't disappoint. You started by trying to ignore data to answer the specific question then moved to trying to claim the conversation was nonsensically about something else.

Regardless, and here is where I am admitting being wrong, because I chose not to put you on ignore when much of the board did, I have continued to respond to these posts. I did so largely because I believe misinformation and information out of context need to be answered. As such, my new strategy will just be to post real information every time I know that you just posted misinformation, but will not respond at all to you, as it is proven that you can't psychologically deal with it. That way I stop letting you spend pages arguing more and more intellectually dishonest things, while also not letting you spread misinformation from random Twitter accounts to people who may not realize that is what you are doing. Good day.

Sadly not. Just another example of why we should be pessimistic about the future of this once great nation unless the younger generation saves us. A substantial portion of the population is immune to conceptions of the common good, often justified by articulated irrationality

Weak. You lost the argument so take it like an adult. But that’s too hard for you I guess. Good riddance. Glad people who lie won’t respond. Good luck trying to keep schools closed...
