Lawrence Wright with a 30,000 word piece in the New Yorker on the pandemic year. Just started. When he or Langweische write such a long form piece, it usually says all that needs to be said The Plague Year

Well played, sir. I do walk with fellow Gator fans and when I told them I had bought Lawrence Wright's latest to read, they said they never realized The Hit Man was now an author. True story

Just asking my mom if there was a schedule yet for her senior facility (1/2 assisted and 1/2 on their own) she is 86. No schedule yet...but they could have told her ;)

Saw a piece where we need to get to about 3 mil a day vs 1.5 a week. Hopefully ramping up now. Remember to divide by two because everyone needs a second dose in two weeks.

I was at the doctor's office today for an annual checkup and I asked about the vaccine. My doctor has gotten the first shot and is waiting for 10 or so more days to get the second one. He told me to call the health department and add my name to the list they have for vaccines. Apparently, when they get the vaccine in, they have so many days to use it or it goes bad so they call people on the list to come to get them before so they don't have to waste any of the vaccines. We will see if it happens.

Total crapshoot. For all those parroting that only the vulnerable should be concerned here's another datapoint. 41, healthy, no underlying conditions..DEAD from covid

He did not have any underlying conditions that would have increased his chances of dying from Covid-19, Dr. G.E. Ghali, a doctor at the Shreveport hospital, told The Advocate in Baton Rouge, La

    UK approves Oxford vaccine

Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine: UK regulator approves another coronavirus vaccine - CNN

The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine can be kept at refrigerator temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit) for at least six months. Moderna's vaccine has to be stored at minus 20 degrees Celsius (minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit) -- or at refrigerator temperatures for up to 30 days -- and the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine has to be stored at minus 75 degrees Celsius (minus 103 degrees Fahrenheit), and used within five days once refrigerated at higher temperatures.

I know people that you think would keel over if they got a cold and they had no issues with COVID. I know people that are healthy as horses end up in an ICU. Super careful people getting it. My IT guy sleeping with his asymptomatic wife for a week and never got it.
