With all that is going on at AU, I am surprised that Tank Bigsby is still there. I wonder if we will go for him if he transfers as a bigger back to complement Bowman.
Since we need 2 and 1 HAS to be a plug and play guy we need to grab 1 soon. Miller has the ability and Johnson is more of an unknown but has great size at 6”4 324.
Not sure if serious. Didn’t use the green font. Let’s see here. EJ AR15 Mathews DelRio / Kitna all will be in the roster next year.
And Jaccuri Brown is a rumored lean to us for 2022. Regardless of overall recruiting, our QBs are stacked out thru 2025-2026 it appears AR15 is Cam Newton 2.0. Gonna be a total stud. Dan had a track record of sending QBs to the league Alex Smith Tim Tebow Dak Prescott Soon to be Kyle Trask here’s what he says about QB development Mental, physical toughness, leadership, decision-making, processing information, all those sorts of things. Then you want to look at certain skill-sets. Do they have skills that are hard to teach? If they have those, those are great because they’re hard to teach. Then you look at do they have the potential to grow in the skills you can teach? If you can find those guys and they have a work ethic and a demeanor, want to improve, you can look and say, ‘I can improve you to this level.'”
Nope, kids leaving don't give us an initial counter back. Pretty much just assume anybody that leaves means one less guy on the roster next year
Add Chester Kimbrough to the list. Wish he would've gotten a fair shake but unfortunately seniority is above all on this defense
Hopefully that mentality leaves after the bowl game. Too many hungry young guys who need to be given a chance to fly. The older guys who aren't cutting it can transfer and start elsewhere next year.
Did Elam gets fair shake? It’s bogus to say every kid that didn’t play was railroaded. can You say entitled or maybe just nor good enough ?
I get what your saying and agree to a certain degree about transferitis but I think what he and plenty of others are implying Is that many of the young n’s saw #3 repeatedly make mistakes both physical and mental and continue to stay on the field. That’s tough to overcome that unfortunate coaching mindset that kids are seeing. I do think too many are jumpy. Singletary seems to be sold on that we have too many DB’s. Maybe a transfer and Rogers going to Receiver will help.
I agree that a lot is on the DC and on the scheme but for a board that seems to want our DBs to play bump and run, jam at the line, man coverage, kimborough was too small and weak. WR pushed and shoved him him all over the place. He got chances and to be fair did not look ready. Now I know Wilson was a hot mess every game, but I’m not sure Chester is the poster child for “talented but didn’t get a chance to play”.
Solid points. I think the concern ( I think I am correct but could be wrong) becomes with each transfer we essentially lose a player to scholarship/ lose a counter. I don’t like it and feel like we should be able to replace that specific player with a transfer but I don’t think we can. Don’t get me wrong some need to transfer but more than 2 or 3 could hurt due to losing scholarship guys and not truly being able to replace them. APK or one of the other guys could explain it better. You’d think we could just replace them but it’s not that easy.
It only happened because of covid. This is the first year seniority has mattered. The lack of practices (ofc coaching was an issue too) absolutely screwed the D this year.
