The lack of scientific understanding in this country will eventually lead to its down fall.

As to the flu, we all learned from Australia over the summer, when done correctly, the very same mitigation actions used for Covid work on.....the flu. Holy Cow! In fact, these actions were taken straight out of a Pandemic Action Plan created/updated by the CDC in 2009 post H1N1. Damn, that is a coincidence. Even when done half-assed, like about half of our population seem to be doing, there is a measurably positive impact on influenza transmission.

Also, an employee of mine in our Oregon Lab was out sick and tested negative for Covid. Two days later he tested positive for the Flu.....so, I can confirm at least 1 case in the United States.

so other countries could control it but we couldn't? our ability to control it is only as s trong as our resolve and willingness to do so. 300k dead and counting because of lack of resolve,

california didn't follow their protocols and their disregard for the protocols are now causing them big problems. microcosm of the US, we threw our playbook away, didn't follow our own suggestions, and 300k are dead with numbers growing daily

Probably about the same time some people stop acting like fools and understand it was never about "controlling" a virus. It was about "Controlling" our behavior to minimize the spread of the uncontrollable virus. It was supposed to be about giving health care workers a break and scientists time to learn. Sadly, too many ignorant, selfish and arrogant people in the United States are unwilling and incapable of controlling themselves....so we have the nations hospitals overwhelmed, we have doctors and nurses dying and or quitting the profession and we have a bunch of fools proudly proclaiming "we can't stop it, so quit trying".

Ironically, if everyone would have followed all of the guidelines 100% of the time, our economies would be in much better shape. The longer people have fought common sense with ignorance, the worse that they have made this for everyone.

The protocol said no traveling And yet you and multiple others including myself have travelled so were just as guilty as anybody else. By the way you judge others means your part of the reason some of the Americans have died also since you and your family disregard the travel protocols.

There were not any no travel orders when we traveled early summer and we were tested, masked, and distant when possible. Big difference from throwing house parties but keep trying. We canceled trip to California over Thanksgiving when Cali recommended essential travel only. I suspect our habits when traveling are vastly different than yours

You realize that a false negative isnt the same thing as a false positive, right? You are arguing that we are picking up flu cases due to false positives. This is saying that there are more covid cases than we are picking up.
