Checking in I joined within the first year the site was out. Heard about this site from the TOS. I’m an old Gatorbait subscriber and dialup modem guy. The 800 number for recruiting updates made a small fortune off me. It’s been a great ride and have appreciated all you guys do.
Hello Ray, I love GC! Ray has done it all. Also, GC TV was great with our girl Laura, now with SEC TV. Been here since the very beginning. Swampie before GC. With Holly wood Bob & Franz. Franz was from Seminole County like me. Franz is still the best ever! Dial up service in the Swampie days. It was Prodigy for me. Listening to Otis Boggs on the radio starting back in 1948. I'm a happy Gator Gezzer at 86 & still in good health. God Bless! I still hate the Dawgs with Coaches Wally Butts & Vince Dooley. That 51-0 loss in the rain on a cold muddy Gator Bowl in 1963 Dooley let their Center score the last TD to rub it in! Trask & the Gators need to break the Dawgs heart today! Pay Backs are Great! Thank You Ray! Go Gators!
Been here since the beginning. Go further back to 85-86 when all you got was Gatorbait from the mail. Had to read it quick and put it in the paper tube for another Gator neighbor to grab and try to read before the game on Sat. Had to cancel that subscription to them after some time because I started getting them late. They would have coffee stains in them. Seems the mailman must have been a fan also. Haha. First game ever was Bama-Fla and this freshman RB from my home town making his first start. Bobby Humphry was their featured back and they had a staunch defense. My Boss was a Bama booster and had 4 tickets to give a way because his wife had surgery that week. Found myself sitting up in a sea of crimson hollering and going crazy every time Emmitt ripped off another big gain. Before the game started we were standing inside the gate and holding up the other two tickets and this big Bama guy walked up and asked how much ? I told him free if he bought our cokes during the game. We got up in the stands and when our first drinks arrived he poked me in the side with two finger bottles of Jack and showed me his pockets full and a bunch of them strapped inside his socks. Lol. He had the biggest grin on his face and said I got you. Well... 224 yrds later and 2 tds and a major buzz and we walked out with a 23-14 upset of #11 Bama and I was in love. Well I already pulled for the Gators but that cemented my heart to orange and blue till the day I die. Go Gators
I’ve been here over 20 years, but can’t remember exactly when I joined. It’s probably because I’m too old to remember stuff at this point.
Originally BornAGator but bouncing around back and forth between different groups had to change to current moniker. Was a moderator on some of the early boards with Scott Costello and some others. Part of the board formed by GC that helped fund the Greg See Courage Classic resulting in a never ending annual scholarship for the later Gator TE from Pennsylvania who died from brain cancer. So on GC around 1998 or earlier. Life at times threw me curves so less active at times but always GREAT TO BE A GATOR...COUNTRY POSTER!
Been on since 1995. Remember checking GatorCountry between classes in computer labs across campus. On time Quez sat next to me as I was reading online about his performance during the previous week’s game. He must have been looking at my screen, because he told me watch what I do next week.
