"significant" upper-respiratory issues is a new one to me. What does that entail? Bad sinus infection?

    Wishing him a full recovery...

Now reporting the facts should not be allowed under Trump. Dude is delusional

As Trump says news about COVID should be illegal, WH chief of staff says goal is to 'defeat' virus, not 'control' it

Trump, meanwhile, appeared focused on the media’s coverage of the coronavirus, claiming the press is using the pandemic to damage his reelection chances.

“We have made tremendous progress with the China Virus, but the Fake News refuses to talk about it this close to the Election,” the president tweeted. “COVID, COVID, COVID is being used by them, in total coordination, in order to change our great early election numbers. Should be an election law violation!

My wife had most of the symptoms in July and never tested. I got it after her, about 2 weeks later, I tested positive twice. My brother in law had most of the symptoms a day after a guest drove back to Texas. She called him and said she had covid. He is now doing better, but he never tested.
Makes me wonder how many people have had it that do not show up on the stats due to never testing.

This is my thought as well.

How many had it and never got tested?

My daughter had Covid 4 weeks ago and needed to be retested in order to return to work. She was tested 3 times until the results were negative. So, in total, she was tested 4 times. This will inflate the stats.

I have lost two very good employees do to the stress of this pandemic. Not to suicide, just to not being able to cope and feeling they needed to stay home. So while the stress of the economy is a big part, I have actually seen two cases where the economy was the least of their worries. Both of these people feel safer basically locked down at home.

Is that true? Is every positive test on an existing patient listed as a new positive? If so then ...well...wow.

I don't think that counts. I've read only new positives are counted.

We can thank our media and panic culture for that.

Just got notification that there has been a case in the local high school. No name or grade level, just the infected kid's schedule. Of course, my kid shares a homeroom with whomever is infected, but my kid doesn't remember who was absent today. Still, it's off to the drive-through testing area to get my kid tested, just to be on the safe side.

If your kid was at our HS they’d simply be sent home to quarantine for 14 days regardless of any test result. My youngest is the middle of a second 14 day quarantine due to ‘close contact’ with a known positive.

Not here. Just notification, which came 90 minutes before my kid came home. We'll test, but I bet we are in the minority.

I get a generic notification 1-2 times a week from my son's high school. They notify kids that sit within 6 feet of the infected kid to stay home for 14 days

Will they be allowed back with a negative test?
We were told no, not even with multiple negatives over several days.

Yes, I know but just asking AZ why go test then unless symptoms develop? I suspect its to know whether to quarantine or isolate.

Science, statistics, medicine, compassion on one side - the Trump cult and super-spreader, maskless events on the other.

“disgusting people” is how he described his followers.

I question the retail sales numbers, I haven't been out shopping in over 7 months. That had to have a negative impact. Good thing I stocked up on great stylish pants, sweaters, shorts, tops, gator clothes, purses, shoes, shoes, shoes...
