To be clear. I get that some/many folks have to be more careful, but I also think the opposite happens as well. People locked down are doing more than they did previous too. All I am saying is the retail numbers (overall) do not tell this "businesses are hurting because people are scared" story. The numbers are closing in on pre-covid comps and that is with many places restricted to 30% capacity by our Governor.
Maybe try getting the Covid relief bill passed instead of ramming through the Handmaiden to the SCOTUS. Have a more positive impact on American lives.
I'd be interested to see what evidence there is for this. Can you backup the claim beyond your business and gym? To say "fear of the citizenry" is disingenuous, imo. What you refer to fear, many would refer to as care or discretion.
Maybe if hair salon Nancy did not try to squeeze every drop of blood out of the package it would get done.
I have a hard time believing that people are concerned like shown by McKinsey and claiming that they are still not behaving normally and that these are completely not linked. Like I said, I strongly suspect that this is just a sorting issue, where people have fewer places to go, so they are going to the places they can still go at a higher rate while still, on average, decreasing activity. Ball is in Nancy's court. 1.8 Tril seems like a decent amount. But hey, lets blame Republicans. It's the cool thing to do these days i guess.
I think most people of a certain age or faith see or hear of gassing people much more often than not think of the holocaust, using that phrase was to me insensitive, imagine the meltdown on this board if Trump said that he was glad Biden did not gas people.
Biden said he'd listen to the scientists. He also said he'd talk to the governors, so don't worry, DuhSantis will do whatever he wants. Like he's going to be elected and on his first day "order a shutdown", as if he can.
The Bernie and AOC inclusion on the list gives the game away. I'm sure that they will be the top advisors on Covid policies and that this isn't just name a random list of people that you don't like or anything...
He is not even a member of the party most of the time, but, yes, he is the major power broker on every single issue. So is a very junior member of the House. Nobody does anything without her permission.
I really wish that it was possible for the powers that be would not put their "pork" into everything that they vote on. I'll bet both sides are trying to slip in $$ for dumbass stuff.
