True. That's pretty much how everyone is scoring these days. Small ball is a thing of the past, at least for now.

Anderson couldn't find the strike zone last night. Eight straight balls way out of the zone. Haven't ever seen that from him. Either getting a little tired at this point, or, some nerves coming through as the situations get bigger and bigger. I think he'll be fine, though. He's been very dependable all year.

Yep. A day of rest and he will be fine.

...although I can see Cash going to him for an out if we have a lead and a chance to put the series on full lockdown tonight. He just has a great gut for these things.

Cash is just playing 4d chess right now and what he is doing is almost perfection.

Would have to be the last out of an inning. Otherwise have to pitch to 3 batters.

Yep, but KC wont hesitate if the situation calls.

Not even small ball... Just some consecutive hits. That's what the astros have done... Hasn't helped but they've stranded a lot. I love the hrs but we are renting almost solely on them. I'll take it though lol.
He can't pitch him for 1 out unless it is the end of the inning. There is a 3 battery minimum this year.

You kind of got to drop him down in the order a bit. Love to see KK there

Actually have been to as many Jags games as Bucs and Fins games. I was born in Jax but moved away as a todler. My extended family never left. Jax is my native hometown and I pull for the jags against all but two teams.

Well, yet another win from the Rays standard playbook -- starting pitching that is good enough, relief pitching that finds a way to hold the line, consistent and often spectacular defense, and clutch offense from seemingly different sources every game. And, Kevin Cash amazingly continues to seemingly make every right decision. What a ball club!

    8 down, 5 to go!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

    GO RAYS!!!

We just witnessed one of the best defensive games in baseball postseason history..tThe Ray's defense had a historic night. 4 diving catches in the outfield. Adames and Wendle with diving stabs on grounders. KKs leaping catch at the wall and Curtis with a diving grab from the mound. That is 8 hits robbed and at least 4 runs directly saved. I have never seen that.

ONE more win to get to the Fall Classic!

That is a weeks worth of defensive gems in one game. It was really amazing.

This is getting really exciting. Glasnow tonight. Need to close out because the Braves are heading that way, too. KK needs some healing time, too. Even though the networks won't love it, a World Series between two southeastern states held at a Texas venue would be great. Go Rays.

Finish tonight and hope the Dodgers/Braves go 7 and screw up their rotations.

Lol. I really love the Jags too. My dads family has been season ticket holders since day one.

Well the dodgers are up 11-0 in the first inning, so that series getting extended a bit seems likely.
