Stamkos had Surgery on his core injury again. Something isn't right about this my dudes.

Actually, this article makes it sound better than I feared. Stammer is expected back in shape by start of next season.

Lightning’s Steven Stamkos has another surgery

Rays win game one of ALCS!
...and Cole and Verlander are not walking through that door!

Another nail-biter tonight! Yet another remarkable example of clutch pitching by this Rays staff. I sure hope that the boys get a bunch of runs early for a change in the next game, so I can watch a game without being on the edge of my couch for 3 hours!

    6 down, 7 to go!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

    GO RAYS!!!

Proud of these guys. Arozerena has come out of nowhere to become superman. These are not over-achievers anymore. This is a very good team. Just hope Lowe can return to form at the plate and stop swinging at the high heat. This can be a special season.

Yeah. Brandon is swinging at balls. Some are at the top of the zone, but most are balls.
I would probably take a walk of two, to force them back to pitching him honestly.

He just can't layoff that high heat and the pitchers know it right now.

I posted this in the baseball forum, but Zunino hit the go ahead RBI last night. Gator Made!

Tampa jumps out early 3-0. Lets see if they can build on that. Houston has a good offense, eventually it will explode.

Another grinder! Man, I am losing years off my life watching this team!
Margot's catch was unbelievable -- talk about selling out all the way for your team!!

Zu went yard today in the 8th!
Gutty win. 4 runs surrendered over the last 27 innings!

Ray's can really lock this thing down with a win tomorrow. Probably an opener to start.

And Randy Arozarena is a freaking star.

    RaysUp fellas.

Infield looked great today, too. Wendle, Adames, Lowe, all made key plays. I think Game 2 is a crucial game in a 7 game series. If the Rays had lost, the series would be all tied up. Winning today meant that the Astros now need to take four out of the last five. It's a tall order for the Astros. But, it is definitely not impossible, especially the way they are hitting and getting baserunners. They will eventually start leaking runs through. I think they may do better against a Yarbrough type slower-speed location pitcher tomorrow, too.

The Astros just don't have the same buzz they had last year. They aren't banging away like they used to.

Wendle's awesone, but Choi was key. Twice he stretched for outs that could just as easily been passed balls, or runner safe for having to tske foot off base to prevent it.

I just hope we can keep the HRs flowing because that's how we are scoring.

Again...Verlander and Cole are not coming through that door, and Glasnow is waiting in the wings.
Anderson wont be able to go today, so Yarbs needs to rack up some innings.

I thought McCullers was excellent yesterday. We should be able to get some runs of Urquidy, but game 4 Grienke/Glasnow will be a duel.

It is definitely great to see Big Boy Choi stretch like that. He's done it all year. Agree that he made some good scoops, too, so, the whole infield was awesome.
