So the Sheriff of the county where they lived took to the news to defend these guys' right to try to "arrest" the Governor. Wow.
Tilly, those are not raw data, which partially explains your misapplication. I'm a musician and not a mathematician or statistician, but I'll do my best to explain. Raw data are indeed raw numbers and devoid of formulaic calculation. You are posting case/death percentage changes on the latest 14-day interval, which involved manipulation (i.e. calculation using a formula). This in and of itself, however, is not the issue; the issue is how you wish to apply the statistical comparison. First, we need to be clear about what those percentages are expressing. Are they increases/decreases from the total state population (I don't think so), or from the number of cases reported during the interval as compared with the previous interval? The latter is true, as evidenced by the NYT description beneath those data. Reporting these data as a state-to-state comparison is esp. problematic. Let's look at fatalities using approximations. State......fatalities previous interval......new fatalities........% change FL...........1,368.......................................1200......................-12.3% MI.............167........................................180........................+7.8% I used the actual fatalities per last seven days and doubled it for a 14day interval to show a valid comparison between the two states. Actually, I did less than double for FL. Those numbers today are FL = 624 and MI = 91. I used the percentage changes you reported to determine the #s for the previous interval. While the last column, which is what you reported, makes Michigan look much worse, that does not show the bigger picture, which is that FL is seeing a whole lot more people die.
Good thing the FBI did not inform this scumbag sheriff of the investigation, otherwise he would've have warned those domestic terrorist militia members. Some of those militia members are current or former LEO and military.
In hindsight, perhaps a better title would have been: Feds thwart plot to kidnap Whitmer, Trump laments assault on suspects’ constitutional rights
I spent the last few days hiking in the mountains of NC and I came back to another violent right story? Shocking I tell ya.
If this loser weren't so violent, you'd have to pity him. Along with his guns and beard, he's surely got a huge Trump banner - to worship a man who would never give him an ounce of empathy or a helping hand. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...81751a-0a65-11eb-9be6-cf25fb429f1a_story.html
They aren’t right wing. Their militia on their website states they accept all political views and one of the guys arrested ha as long rant about how much he hates trump. They aren’t right wing, just more insane LARPERS.
I guess you missed the part about the guy stating himself he doesn’t like trump. Also wish there wasn’t a paywall :/
