1. I think Mullen and staff are trying to build depth for if and when we have to sit a few players for a few weeks.
2. I think he did this last year... builds a lead and then starts calling the game differently... almost practicing plays we aren’t as good at.
3. Vanilla defenses might be due to lack of practice time. Seems everyone is having the same issues.

 

Does he not participate in recruiting?

I knew, and I think everyone watching the game knew that pass was going to their running back, but apparently our defensive coaches didn’t know that.

If this wasn't year 3 of the same defensive breakdown issues I may try to agree with you.

 

It is on the DC to place the talent he does have in a position to win. Kind of like Mullen has done for the offense.
