A more contagious strain might be taking hold in places. Study isn’t peer reviewed yet, and it doesn’t appear to be more deadly. Houston study: More contagious coronavirus strain now dominates
Covid so deadly the UK is infecting people on purpose to test vaccines... Subscribe to read | Financial Times
Meanwhile we had a period of icu beds packed with covid patients. Disappointing to see Trump followers denying science and medicine.
Yep, it’s me denying LOL. I posted the Japan study and it gets glossed over because it doesn’t fit the doom and gloom narrative.
More winning. New wave of COVID-19 cases builds in US I heard it referred to as the Trump Flu. At this point, he should own his own stupid.
Didn’t want to start a thread on this but interesting information on how there are two trajectories to the recovery: Economic Tracker
It is important to note that "more contagious" might mean "less potent". Often times, as a virus mutates and becomes more easily contracted, its effects weaken. That might be why we've had a grand total of 2 hospitalizations and 0 deaths at our universities nationwide, so far.
At this point, it seems clear it's more about Mr. Trump than it is about the virus, for you. I do have to ask though, if you was in Mr. Trump's seat, what would you be doing differently today, as it relates to combating this virus? And I do emphasize today, because hindsight is 20/20. What would you propose moving forward from today?

Don't know if it has been mentioned before and I don't have time to read through all 915 pages of this thread but there is also the probability that Oriental countries like Japan, South Korea and China have had more exposure to previous coronavirus strains which may have increased T cell immunity in those countries.
Not at all surprised that gator95 finds it amusing that 1,000 Americans are dying every day; wonder if it's dawned on Pubs yet that because of their stance on masks and Covid in general, they're losing more of their voters than Dems, in what is supposed to be a close election... they're essentially shooting themselves in the foot.
Isn't it apparent by now that unless everyone's hiding in the basement, the dreaded cases will continue to rise and fall?
What's amusing by it? The numbers are BS. The false positive rate is thru the roof. And the "1,000" deaths from Covid aren't all from Covid. Besides that, continue on with the scare tactics. Normal people are getting back to life.
In a recent poll more than 2/3 of republicans support a national mask mandate. Just sayin' . My guess is the other 1/3 is split with most of them just wanting it up to the state. It is actually being overblown based on the stupid noisy minority.
