It is mental gymnastics keeping up with your contradictions. So if you’re good with how things turned out, it wasn’t panic moves after all? No, I’m not trying to make things seem worse than they are. I used all of YOUR terms to point out how ineffective that plan would’ve been.
Panic move for everyone else. My moms place was smart. A lot of governors, not so much. They followed stupid estimates and panicked. Good try though. Keep hoping I contradict myself.
So you agree. Thanks again. Man, with you agreeing with everything I say and apologizing tonight it must be a tough one for you. Maybe tomorrow will be better. so which is it? Do 150-200 million have it? Because certain areas can hit herd immunity and still not be “as contagious as some of the Coronabros think”. I hope you are smart enough to understand that.
Not quite what I said... I do NOT believe NY is at immunity. You do. I DO believe it to be pretty contagious, you don’t. I DO believe NY has gotten under control through masks and shut down. You DONT. YOU make the argument that it isn’t very contagious yet enough of the most densely populated city in the country have contracted it to gain immunity. That sir is a contradiction. All while distancing and sheltering in place mind you, which had nothing to do with the reduction. How did that many people get it if it’s not that contagious? Are all New Yorkers also Asian? That’s another theory I don’t believe in of yours. I admitted I miss used one word, don’t go chubbin up because you think you won something here. You’re still wrong about everything else you’ve said.
So much hurt in that post. It’s ok. I know it sucks to be wrong. Happens to everyone once in a while. Just happens to be your night. Heading out for cocktails with some friends. Stay home and stay safe everyone.
Don't forget to kiss your Mom "ggodnight" Oh , no better not just in case all that herd mentality hasn't really hit.
After one night in Dublin we headed out to Killarney in the SW portion of Ireland. Surprised a the number of high end hotels in Killarney. Several good restaurants with music and pubs built in that we thoroughly enjoyed. We rented a relatively large house just outside of Killarney for less than the 2 rooms would have cost us at one of the better hotels. Lot of 2 lane roads in Ireland with very narrow lanes bounded on both sides by walls or very dense vegetation that made driving a high risk proposition. Guess that explains the high insurance rates there. Spent 1 day doing the Ring of Kerry on a self drive tour that took us to the first national park in Ireland (estate was founded by an American businessman as a dowry of sorts to the royal that his daughter married and it later became Killarney National Park), saw some coastal views, and some old ruins that were watchtowers where sentinels would stay and watch for invaders. Was a cloudy day with intermittent rain and limited windows of sunshine so photography wasn't great, landscapes were interesting but mundane compared to what we just left in Norway. Was a long day but we made lots of stops. Walls of these circular first were 8 - 15 feet thick with small enclaves where men would sleep. Usually placed in passes up above coastal areas where any invading forces would be visible prior to landing and then have to pass through this area to reach the settlements in the highlands. that opening ahs an enclosed area that was maybe 20' long, 5' wide, and 5' tall where they would sleep or store supplies. thousands upon thousands of relatively small stones stacked up to make these structures that have stood for hundreds of years
ignore/block is a wonderful feature. cleans up lots of the nonsense. added another to the list. I can deal with differing opinions but the trolling or intentional ignorance has become too much
seems like mods have allowed too many independent covid threads that would be better suited to be compiled into this one as was originally intended. jmo
It's been shat upon by one particular poster. If folks would quit responding to their crap, we might get back to formative discussions.
Went up to Shenandoah National Park today, hoping for some fall colors but none yet. Was in the low 50’s when is stated out though. This is stoneyman. That is Skyline Dr below, the road that goes the length of the park.
I guess I owe everyone an apology. I didn’t know 200 million people were gonna die of Coronavirus by the end of today. Much more contagious than I thought. Accept my apologies.
Just looking at today's breakdown of the numbers in my home state. The largest block of cases come from the 20-29 age group. 12,153 cases in that age group. 0 deaths. Right at about half of the deaths in Kentucky are people ages 80+. Let that sink in for a moment. These are people who've outlived their life expectancy already. Over 75% of deaths are ages 70+. And you wonder why people aren't quivering in fear? If you're in a medium to high risk demographic or category, by all means, do what you gotta do. But all this new case hysteria, it's a hoax. The fear-mongering about more young people catching it. It doesn't kill them. Schools not being open. What a joke. We didn't know all this back in March when we shut down. But we know it now and people are adjusting accordingly. Get over it. https://chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dph/covid19/COVID19DailyReport.pdf
