Good point. Help me out, how did Florida do compared to NY and NJ who have been shut down forever? Will I get the “ I am cherry picking states” routine? What a good comeback by you. I know it sucks getting owned. Go take a walk because you lost this one.
Let’s just call everything Covid related so it makes Trump look worse. LOL. You guys won’t give up. So funny. Hell, I saw someone died in a car crash last night. I’m sure they had Covid and if not maybe were worried about Covid so let’s call that a Covid death also.
Just curious, since we’re one of the unlucky countries that doesn’t have natural immunity, let’s say we didn’t panic. Let’s say we did no lock down and no masks since those are silly too. What’s your estimate on Covid related deaths, and no, not Covid only. How many would you estimate would have died had we done nothing like you advocate?
New York has done way better than Florida since the benefits of its shutdown took effect. It's not even close. NY had 5 covid deaths yesterday. Florida had 144. NY's current 7 day average is 824 cases and 8 deaths. Florida is at 2754 cases and 103 deaths. Florida's population is 21.5 million and NY is 19.5 million, so adjusting for population NY's 7 day average is 42.3 cases per million and .4 deaths per million. Florida's is 128.1 cases per million and 4.8 deaths per million. So NY is doing about 3 times better than Florida on cases and about 12 times better than Florida on deaths.
No, not everything is covid-related, but there are a lot of deaths, especially early on, that weren't classified as covid-related because there was no testing. And there are 200,000 deaths that are confirmed covid related. There will be detailed data after this year about excess mortality and the various causes. And you will pick and choose whatever data works best for you because you are an intellectually dishonest person.
Yep, we've got a couple of posters who just troll. Pretty disgusting giving the 200,000 person death count.
I feel like I read somewhere that we had a record high of pneumonia deaths this past winter prior to any know cases of Covid in the US. Many of those were potentially Covid as well.
But pneumonia cases only count for the flu totals, not for the covid totals. Our intellectually dishonest posters like to compare flu and pneumonia totals from entire previous years to covid totals for just a few months of 2020.
I know, we have Coronabros blaming everything on Covid and every death is Covid related. Panic caused way too many deaths. Awful.
Without “panic” or early lockdown before there were any cases, how exactly could NY have jumped out to an early lead?
If we isolated the elderly and didn’t panic we would probably be around 50,000 or so. But terrible leadership by the President, the CDC, the WHO and governors Caused countless lost lives.
He's either dishonest or stupid. He wants to show that shut downs and mask wearing don't have much effect. But in pointing to NY, he's not smart enough to understand that NY proves how effective shut downs and mask wearing are.
