Trumpeteers join him in attacking CDC chief. Amazing that member of Congress say they believe Trump more than Redfield. I wonder what kind of pressure theya re under from Trump and his minions to make statements like this

Trump's allies back up his attacks on CDC chief

President Donald Trump’s congressional allies and White House aides backed his rebuke of CDC Director Robert Redfield on Thursday, insisting they trusted the president over the nation’s top public health official on matters of face masks and vaccine development.

“If I just take the words of the CDC and the president, the president is right,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said at a news conference, pledging that the U.S. would “have a safe and effective vaccine this year.

Sure, I’ll take it on. But we are talking about 2 different things. You are counting anyone who has Covid and dies but I get to count only people who died of Covid. Sounds like a bet!

In your opinion what exactly is a COVID only death? We aren't talking about the alleged people who died by suicide/skydiving/motorcycle accident/meteor strike. I'll hang up and listen.

Let's be fair here. The chances of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ever saying the words "the president is wrong" is zero or less.

Are zero or less. Trump creates truth for his supporters, even if that truth is fake or false. So, this is what we get.

The excess deaths from Alzheimer’s and dementia are up a ton. Who knows how much that contributed to Covid deaths.

due to lack of care providers and family visits which both are due to covid. Said that clearly in article you linked. And these are excess deaths not attributed to covid even though the lack of care and family support is due to covid

So now anyone who dies because Covid is causing people not to help people is Covid related? Come on dude. I thought we were having a rational conversation. Guess not.

What caused the reduced treatment and reduced family visits that was identified as the reason for the increase in dementia and Alzheimer’s?

It’s called panic. We panicked as a country, mostly because of our president and the cdc and the WHo. Just awful leadership from all 3. Zero reason not to give care.

Except that care givers spread the virus to vulnerable population because idiots refuse to wear masks and social distance so caregivers get infected from community spread. You just refuse to see what is right in front of you.

Between 10 and 14% of covid cases are health care workers

Nearly 1 in 7 COVID-19 Patients in Oregon Are Health Care Workers

Coronavirus latest: WHO says health workers account for 10% of global infections | DW | 17.07.2020

Moosehaven in Orange Park is down on staff nearly 30% due to aide givers testing positive. My Mom is not getting PT because her therapist tested positive. Fingers crossed she didn't get infected

Been documented many times, many places. Primary source of infection in homes are infected workers bringing it in. Residents didn't govto Europe or China and get it. Moms best friend in Moosehaven died from covid brought in by worker

What more can Mr. Trump do that the governors aren't already doing? Sooner or later, you're just going to have to come to terms with the facts:

    1. The virus has a death rate of 0.02% if you're healthy and under 60.
    2. We've proven shut downs only drive us crazy and slow the spread a bit
    3. Large chunks of the American population just don't care enough.

Been documented many times that 45% of deaths are from .06 of the population. Governors did an awful job protecting the elderly. No debating that.

I think the idiocracy lies in the citizenry. These political minions might better be described as nefarious.
