Trump only cares about the picture. After he leaves, it doesn’t matter to him who gets sick. The ones who get sick are like injured or killed war vets- losers. Like Herman Cain. Or John McCain.

Did Dragon’s tooth today. It’s only 5 miles, but it’s legit. Besides the fact that it’s nearly 1500 feet in vertical change in the 2.2 miles up, the last mile is a glorified rock scramble, one of the pictures below is the trail, and it is not what looks like a trail to the right, it’s over those rocks. And that isn’t atypical.
@citygator, if you haven’t done this one and you liked Old Rag, this is in driving distance from NC, it’s near Roanoke, close to Mcafee knob.

I just book marked it on AllTrails. Love a good rock scramble on a climb! Looks awesome. ;)

Cool...FYI, I did this route, added some distance and more rock difficulty on the way back, but more views. Even though it’s only 5.7 miles, they have it as the same difficulty level as old rag.

The morning of the hike up to Pulpit Rock we met our guide and the rest of the group at the visitors center at 7 am. We took canoes across a lake and began what was to be a mix of a hike, climb, and scramble up what appeared to be an old goat trail. We ended up above Pulpit Rock and worked our way back down to it. It was one of the rare sunny days we had in Norway. Lots of haze in the air from storms the previous day didn't help the pictures where you could see for miles

Good news that no college kids required hospitalization. Not surprising but still good news.

Speaking of vacations, lots of Americans are headed to Florida and Hawaii this weekend. What those headed to Hawaii probably don't realize is that with all the new cases there, they extended the 14-day quarantine to the first of October. So tourists have to stay in the hotel rooms for 14 days before they can have fun. I'll bet most of them are staying less than two weeks. I don't think Hawaii has enough jail cells to enforce this. Maybe they just write tickets. (I see that the penalty for violating quarantine there is $5,000 or up to a year in prison.)

Labor Day weekend travelers are heading to COVID-19 hot spots

Hawaii will fine self-quarantine violators $5,000 - CNN

Things are about to get real in paradise.

Traffic near my office yesterday afternoon was heavier than pandemic usual. My office is in a street into a tourist area. Let’s hope People are careful

You would think the news that zero college kids hospitalized out of 11k would be big news but it’s not on the Usatoday, CNN or Fox. Crazy. I think most people would like to know that info.

Took the dog out to Park Point today. This is a strip of land at the bottom of Lake Superior between MN/WI. It's one of the few sandy beaches on the big lake.
