It seems that study that is being circulated is very flawed.

No link. No context. No general idea about what argument you’re trying to make.

I give this thread a lifespan of approximately 10 minutes.

A wedding reception in Maine is linked to 53 coronavirus cases, including a woman who died but wasn't at the event

A wedding reception in Millinocket, Maine, has been linked to 53 confirmed coronavirus cases, according to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

That number includes a woman who did not attend the event but died Friday; officials believe she was later infected with COVID-19 from a guest, the Portland Press Herald reported.

Sixty-five people went to the August 7 reception, which was largely indoors, Maine's CDC director, Nirav Shah, said in a press conference on Thursday. Shah said the venue, Big Moose Inn, exceeded the state's limit on indoor gatherings, which is 50 people.

The median age of known infected people among the outbreak is 42, but there's a wide range from 4 years old to 78, Shah said Thursday. Most of the people reported symptoms about four days after the reception, but roughly 13% were asymptomatic, he added.

CDC did release a statement saying that travelers no longer need to quarantine for 14 days after traveling abroad.

We are the world leader in C-19 (in cases / deaths, not progress) so go to Italy or China all you want.

14 days is very scientific though / should be the standard. I went to the only private lab on days 12, 13 and 14 after I got symptoms. Different result right at the 14 day mark (i.e., no longer positive).

That is beyond dumb. We have one of the worst quarantining systems in practice for Covid already (quarantining has proven to be a successful system in a whole set of countries with very low community infection rates). Yes, let's make it worse...

Then it shouldn't be that hard for you to provide a link to that reporting.

Don't forget that the CDC, FDA, etc. etc. etc., are all part of the Deep State. The whole idea is to get rid of Trump. Half the time it seems like even FoxNews (to hear Trump tell it) wants to get rid of him. Of course when you've got Donald Trump it's hard to make things even worse.

I think you are confusing two different types of quarantines. A recommendation to self-quarantine for 14 days even if there is no indication of contact, no symptoms, and no positive test, just because of travel to a particular locale is a very different thing than quarantining after being positive for Covid.

I self quarantined in 1995 when I discovered the power of a work from home solution. My take is that as more people discover this, there will be a fundamental change in the way we do business going forward.
