On other quick thing from my hike yesterday, this is always one of my favorite signs on the way up. I mentioned there is a civil war fort at the top, and to be fair it is really steep.

What is the functional difference between spending 8 hours awake in a small room with 20 kids, and spending 8 hours asleep in a small room with 20 kids? (defining a small room as one with insufficient space for social distancing)

Well, now we see evidence of kids getting sick and spreading the virus. So another one of your arguments that is contrary to elemental virology and science goes down the drain. Btw: you know what makes kids more likely to get the virus and spread it? Because they have not been as exposed to diseases as adults. They get everything. They have less developed immune systems. So, if the theory being tested thar People have T cells from other Coronaviruses that help create a resistance, kids will be more likely to get or. So, now the goals posts about to: Camp is different from school? Sitting Next to a kid with the virus for an hour is less likely to spread it than I’m a sleep away camp? Well, agreed that being around infected kids for 24 hours is more risky than a 5 to 8 hour school day or a 1 hour class. But, to suggest that the latter doesn’t create a high risk of spread is just a flat out falsehood. You are so locked into your views that no amount of evidence can shake them. It is a shame, because these views are going to drive policy and press the disease even more. More deaths. More serious illness. More complications. Just as a matter of the percentages. The ignorance driving policy is astounding. But, it is driven by appeasement of the ignorant.

Because kids sleeping and messing around in an unsupervised area tend to be close to each other. Compare that to kids wearing masks in school let alone the teachers wearing masks. Totally different. You know this but keep trying to instill fear. Sweden is a good example of schools staying open and not having breakouts.

2 different things. Already covered it another post. Sweden is what guide we can use as they didn’t have breakouts at school. You know this and just choose to ignore it. Sad.

False. Just dangerous to drive policy based on such profound ignorance of virology and a disregard of evidence.

flgator2 is mocking the way African Americans speak without technically breaking any of the board rules. Horrific behavior.

Agree, let’s listen to the CDC and 60,000+ pediatricians. I know that sucks for your argument but tough luck.

False medically. We have seen examples of spread now from schools in Israel and the camp Inn Georgia. There was also a camp in Broward County. Here is an analysis from JAMA noting that schools have to be opened with precision scientific approaches. Not the kind of free for all proposed on this country. What sucks for your argument is the empirical evidence that is contrary to it an the incompetence driving policy. And the poor data from Sweden relied on. There is no reliable data that supports your argument that the kids will not get or pass on the virus. Not a shred. And, you just move the goal posts every time New data comes In that contradicts it. What you should do is just advocate for not mitigation measure for the virus. Because you stare down evidence and disregard it for every mitigation.

Case closed. Look at Sweden. If you want to remote learn go for it, but I think most parents will choose in person. It’s happening so you can keep complaining like I know you will.

How old are you? Quit whining to the mods. I have known for a while that you have privately complained about me to them. You must have been like this as a little kid, tattletale or complain when you don't get your way.

We all got Covid tested before going, cooked dinner together in our unit instead of going out and rented a private boat for just our group. Fun safe time.
