Our school superintendent (LWCS a locally controlled charter system) has indicated no in classroom instruction at the high school until September 22. Classes will begin on August 24 completely online. After that will be a hybrid model.
Board has yet to vote but it’s likely a certainty given the makeup of our board.
Our AD indicated a shortened fall sports season is still possible but no playoffs, championship games, etc.

No offense, but virology is what it is. And, if we can’t do what the EU or eastern Asian countries did, that makes us a third world country, which we are not. The statement you make about this country is insulting to Americans. Your opinion of this country and its people is pathetic. But, maybe you are right. We are not like the rest of the world because we have people who think like to. Trump rolled the dice on the virus going away in the summer and drew snake eyes because it isn’t a clue virus. You have been consistently wrong since day one, a sycophantic regurgitator of talking points and falsehoods. Let’s just discuss Florida: how do you think tourism is doing here, especially in South Florida? And what about the people not going to restaurants, bars, movies? Being open isn’t helping much. If we listened to you, we would have overrun hospitals making decisions an who gets treated and who does. And who knows how many people dead.

They were living life. Not in fear. Enjoying the family and kids! They were just unlucky to get serious cases. But, they can take comfort in the fact that we are not like Germany, parts of the economy are open, Pfizer and Moderna are in phase 3 vaccine trials, the death rate is down because of better treatment and the GOP Governor in Texas is Better than Cuomo and a small percentage of people get very sick and die.

No. Other than Katmai our travels have been limited to areas I could drive to. Looks like a great place to get away though. Do you have to take float plane to get there?

American Airlines to Anchorage and Alaska Air to Bethel. Then you get on the little prop planes, 6-8 passengers. THey hop back and forth to those little villages. They had a salmon cannery there for a while but it closed down. Yupik Indians are the natives.

Everyone needs to be taking it seriously and using your qualifiers, 100 million+ people should be isolating themselves.

you can thank POTUS and your fellow deniers for this. The virus loves these halfass attempts to stop it, leads to a wider runway for it to land on. This will go down as the worst leadership in times of crisis ever.

Obesity in the United States - Wikipedia.

The obesity rate has steadily increased since the initial 1962 recording of 23%. By 2014, figures from the CDC found that more than one-third (crude estimate 36.5%) of U.S. adults[4][5] and 17% of children were obese.[6] The National Center for Health Statistics at the CDC showed in their most up to date statistics that 42.4% of U.S. adults were obese as of 2017-2018 (43% for men and 41.9% for women).[7]
