Below is a more up to date version of media bias that breaks out cable broadcast and online (eg. CNN seen twice). It is from Ad Fontes Media and is updated regularly. The interactive chart can be found at Interactive Media Bias Chart - Ad Fontes Media. Warning.. the filter controls are not intuitive. I found it interesting that both Fox and CNN websites are more partisan than their cable counterparts. Also, CNN cable is more factual and less partisan than Fox (who knew?).
Sorry when half of the 10,000s of thousands protesting aren't wearing masks there is no way there wasn't spread. It's not a coincidence people either weren't asked if they protested or aren't truthful about going to protests.
On first blush there are some interesting take aways, and this needs for follow up... "Preexisting cardiovascular conditions included hypertension, diabetes, and known coronary artery disease but no previously known heart failure or cardiomyopathy" "A total of 33 severely unwell patients (33%) required hospitalization. In this group, 2 patients (2%) underwent mechanical ventilation, and 17 (17%) underwent noninvasive ventilation with positive airway pressure. Oxygen supplementation was required in 28 patients. In addition to respiratory support, patients received antiviral (n = 1), antibiotic (n = 15), and steroid (n = 8) therapy" Thoughts: a full third of subject required hospitalization (they were sicker). Its unclear what % had preexisting risk factors (HTN/DM/CAD) ONLY 8% received steroids now almost EVERYONE is getting dexamethasone or prednisone(outpatient). That certainly will affect myocardial inflammation. Some questions for further study.. how long is the myocardial inflammation present? What effects long term are there from this.
FYI there are currently over 50 trials using HCQ in the US for COVID, for the CDC/FDA the science isn't quite settled yet. Check it on clinicaltrials.com search Covid19 add hydroxycholoquine under key words.
Those fighting wearing masks remind me of a WWI era poem. It begins: "I have a rendezvous with death . . ."
Thanks for the link, I will add it to the reference thread at the top of the page. Also, I went to the link and can't believe The Weather Channel is to the left of center.
I have been going to World O Meter for daily data since April. Everyone should use it as their data source. Data by country and by state for the US. It has always shocked me how the raw data did not support the media/Democrat panic that was induced and is still being perpetuated. I track the daily data over to an Excel spreadsheet. We have had a steadily declining cum death rate from 6.1% in Mid May to 3.39% as of yesterday. A 44.4% drop. We have had three days in the last 60 where the cumulative death rate has grown by 1% or more and those days were 5/29, 6/2, and 6/3. In the last 30 days, we have had only 6 days where the rate grew by .75% or more with the highest being .85%. From any statistical standpoint this situation never was going to get as bad as the early predictions that caused a panic, and are certainly currently improving. Won’t hear that anywhere in the media/Democrat narrative.
The rate of drop slowing is very normal. You have a slowing numerator divided by a growing denominator. Makes it hard to continue the same rate of improvement over time
Cumulative death rate is a sign of under testing. It is actually somewhere around a 1% death rate per case. However, that would be millions of deaths in the US if we let it spread. You good with millions of deaths in the US? What is the economic impact of pulling a million people out of the population? You think everybody would just go about their lives while that happened as well?
U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, a mask skeptic, tests positive for coronavirus, according to reports "Gohmert, 66, was one of several lawmakers who participated in a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee that took place Tuesday. He walked around the hearing room and outside without wearing a mask."
As I have said many times, protect the vulnerable, minimize impact to the rest. Hey I can play the exaggeration game as well: Are you ok with not having a country left?
