A resolved case would be one with a negative test result or a death. Some cases have taken months to be resolved.

The future fatalities who got sick this week aren't going to die for another 2-4 weeks. Because there are a lot more of them this week than a month ago, excluding people who got sick more than a month ago makes the death rate looks lower than it really is.

Media will still be pumping the hell out of this thing after we get down to less than 100 deaths a day. Gotta sell that fear.

Well, considering we’ve been setting new daily highs in cases for almost 4 weeks straight, that kind of destroys your thinking here.

Who got down to less than 100 deaths a day. Do you mean 1000? Are you callous enough to think 936 deaths and a growing number of deaths and filled up ICU’s are laudable? And, why do you mock legitimate concerns about sickness as “selling fear?” Is it because your head is so far up Trump”’s read end that you have to defend this national failure? Do you go from place to place on social media bad post these callous messages?

How so? Deaths are now 3 times higher in FL than they were at the start of June. We've started setting new daily highs in Florida for deaths too.

He doesn’t feel the pain of 952 deaths today so far. He doesn’t feel the suffering from illness or the consequences of those who recover. He is only here to defend an incompetent and failed national policy that measures success by 952 deaths in a day. Because it it the only way they can win. And when you post out the death totals and ICUs at over capacity, that is success too and comments about same are mocked. Because that is the only hope that GOP has for their failed national policy. They have to double down on their failure.

Well if almost four weeks of new daily highs in cases have come to pass, we should be seeing record daily deaths right? We’re at about a third of the peak on deaths. Not even close.

If deaths aren’t the measuring stick, then what makes COVID any different than any other common ailment that plagues millions of Americans daily?

Why? Why in your world must one follow from the other? Further, are all of the other long term health effects also "inconsequential"?

Are deaths the only measure of adverse impacts of being infected?

Do you think people are going to go out to restaurants or vacation in Florida with covid running rampant?

Florida has an older population than most states and some of us don’t live in Florida. In any case, even at this current pace, it would take Florida more than a year to match New York and New Jersey in per capita death. Yes, it’s spreading. I’m not saying it isn’t. What I am saying is that with the new treatments, more knowledge and many of the new infections being in people under 50 years of age, the death rate has been curtailed a lot since April.

I would take my family to a restaurant in Florida right now. Extremely low risk to each one of us.

Number of cases, infection rate, severity of illness, long term adverse health impacts. All preventable as many nations have proven..I could go on but it wouldn't matter to you and your ilk, or does it matter? Do you care about those who suffer needlessly due to lack of leadership and unwillingness to mask up?

@NavyGator thinking about you. Hope you are recovering. All strangers on the interweb but still somewhat like a dysfunctional family that you still care about.
