As for schools, in Arizona, we have a lot of choice and there are several district comparison sites. I wonder, if we open, if they'll include COVID-19 sick and death rates for students, staff, and parents/guardians? I can see it now. District A only had 1 dead student, but 30 in the hospital, and a high number of parent and staff mortalities. In contrast, District B lost 3 students, but parents and staff fared well. Which is the best district for little Johnny?

Everyday for the past 7 days has been higher than the same corresponding day for the previous 3 weeks. Deaths are trending up, period. Tue 7/7(993) So if the trend continues, the US will have over 1000 deaths tomorrow 7/14. Last time it was over 1000, 6/7(1105)

Because Covid deaths stay consistent!? Not a single state or country has done that. NYC started spiking March 28th and then 1 month later saw daily rates below its initial spike number.
Ny also locked down To get that number down, as did other places, which is the opposite of what Texas and Florida and Georgia among others are doing right now. We are about to see how mich of the tail off in The NE was pathology and how much was intervention via distancing.
We locked down initially which is why we had such a lag. It paid off as it gave us more time to understand the virus. Young people are still being too careless but overall are getting over the virus with no issues.

How old are you and do you have underlined health issues like diabetes and overweight? Unless you are above 65 or have other health issues, stats don’t suggest you need to be worried about death from it. I saw a man that must have been over 60 the other day with his wife. They saw my 19 month old son who is very adorable and started talking with me. I asked them if they felt safe being out and about. He looked healthy, not over weight and seemed to keep up with what’s going on. He said he just stays 6 feet from others and has a mask on when in public but that they want to still be able to enjoy their lives and not be cooped up in doors all day.
There are some cases out there saying they had some lingering issues after recovery. There are no stats on it and hard to tell who or why they might have something affecting them after the virus is gone. Its clearly not happening often enough to warrant any large studies or data tracking. I have had the flu once in the past 16 years. I couldn't lift myself out of bed for 3 straight days. My wife had to feed me and force me to drink fluids since I wouldn't wake up on my own. After I finally recovered, I had very little taste in my mouth for a couple weeks and couldn't stand salt at all for a while. The worst though was an odd shortness of breath for a couple week. Eventually they all got better. Its no secret that really bad viruses can cause enough damage that your body needs time to recover. There is no good explanation to why some respond more harshly to any particular virus vs others. Like anything in life, you have control of what risk to accept.
Except people refusing to wear masks increases risk to me and mine unnecessarily. Not different than if people refused to stop for red lights
I agree on the mask part. I cannot stand to have it on and to be honest not sure they truly work. With that said, I will always have it on in public. If there is a chance it works OR at minimal makes others feel more comfortable around me then ill put it on for the short time I am inside a store. Its a stupid hill for some people to fight on... People without mask are generally rare or at least from my experience here in St. Pete.
The only control one has is to lock themselves up in a bubble and never see or touch loved ones unimpeded. Or people at all, for that matter. Is this the sentence you wish to hand down to so many?
Those other health issues include obesity, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes. How rare do you think those are in our country?
My parents have not left their home since March. They cant as both are high risk. I have not seen them since March. What else can they do?
