That’s High Falls. It’s in the DuPont Forrest just outside Hendersonville NC. Same hike had Triple Falls and Hooker Falls too. Hendersonville also has Bridal Falls, Sliding Rock Falls, and Looking Glass Falls near it as well.

also, florida would need to average 10,000 new cases a day for 28 days while new York had none for florida to pass them. also a average of 100 deaths a day for 280 days to none a day in deaths to pass, both things we know will never happen.

What are you trying to accomplish. Is learning and overcoming a pandemic of more or less interest than political points.

I can't imagine, that in such times, I would give more than a fleeting thought to what it would take for one state to out-death the other; needless to say pull out some pen and paper and start crunching numbers.

the point is, people here criticize DeSantis because he is a republican and a trump supporter, just showing that overall he is not doing as bad a job as many, mostly anti-trump people think.you cannot whitewash, oops, politically insensitive these days, almost 3 months of what happened in new York, start over on june 1st, and claim DeSantis is horrible while new York and Cuomo are doing fantastic, the past happened.

People criticize because he's made bad choices even when he has the luxury of seeing others choices in the past. He has better data. Still makes poor choices. It's worthy of criticism. Aint many above criticism on this crap. People look petty trying to see who effed up more. Who cares?

Desantis had the benefit of watching what was happening in New York (as well as Italy and China). New York happened before anyone realized the extent to which it had spread to this country. Those places all took approximately 3 months to fully flatten their curves, that was the blueprint for success. The Trumpista governors short circuited their re-opening plans after about 6 weeks, which is right in line with where Trump lost patience - they didn't give it the full 3 months. That is why we are having an explosion and will likely have to pay for it again economically, even in the summer months (and I have to admit the spread of this thing is even surprising to me, I actually thought we might see a lull in the summer and then an explosion starting around November/December to coincide with flu season - but this is why the re-opening should have happened much slower and the phases should have followed the original guidelines).

Thank you. That whole "this state / that state" has been nothing more than an annoyance, contributing nothing of value to the thread.

I believe it goes a little further than "the people here". On just about every news topic, if it's a Dem, they're heroes. If it's a Republican, they are raping America. Literally, that is what our MSM has become.

Of course it's an annoyance. 2/3's of the deaths have come from Hillary states. Gavin Newsom shut down a few bars today in blue paradise California, as though that is really going to do something. Maybe that's all we had to do. Shut down the bars. lol

But clearly, we can still talk about what Trump didn't do in January. (while he was in the middle of being impeached)

lets just face facts. about 70-80% of the posters here are anti-trump, thus they criticize and dislike anything he, or his supporters do while tending to ignore or give free passes on actions to ani-trumpers. Cuomo never screwed up, the Michigan governor never abused her authority, the protesters and rioters have not caused a spike in cases, right is wrong and left is right in some minds.

funny, when DeSantis ordered all flights from ny/nj to stop, and a 14 day quarantine from visitors from there to florida, Cuomo had a fit, saying it was not needed, but now that the shoe is on the other foot, quarantine all people from florida, can you say hypocrite?

Cuomo and de Blasio did screw up. Whitmer didn't abuse her authority, but I am open to reconsidering that opinion if you can point to do what you think was an abuse, as it is possible I missed something she ordered. The demonstrations have likely caused COVID to spread.

Now that we've established that, we can discuss how badly Trump has screwed the pooch and DeSantis and Abbott screwing over FL and TX by following his lead. I tried to warn people a month ago that this was going to happen when discussing Texas's reopening (when some people were celebrating the reopenings):
