This is how you know your state is handling the Corona virus response poorly.....even the president's task force, as bungling and marginally effective as they have been, call out your governor and your state for doing a poor job. Now that really says something!

White House concerned by NC’s lack of COVID-19 testing

1698 new cases in Florida today, which I think is an all time high.

Latests three-day interval is not encouraging. These are the increases. World cases are way up and remain on an upward trajectory - maybe due to testing. Testing, however, does not account for increased fatalities. World fatalities have leapt back up. The latest U.S. interval nearly doubled from June 8. Hopefully, that dips back down throughout the summer, but virologists seem to be projecting consistent fatality rates throughout the summer.

I’m not sure if any course of action by government vs individuals will change the results.

I’d prefer die living than living dead. I enjoy the relationships with people. Personally I’d prefer to die than not have a personal relationship.

It is an individual decision. Keep your distance and do not expect anything from another person who you do not have a contract.

    Best of luck to all.

Interesting times in GA. As a resident of Cobb county, we are seeing a spike which was somewhat expected. At the same time, the governor is further relaxing SD rules and we can start going to concerts in a few weeks.
    Yeah, he’s an idiot.

You may have some valid points, not sure as that was difficult to read.

He’s making you go to a concert?

I fully support adults making an informed decision to attend or not.

My daughter is at the beach this week and I’m glad she is living. She’s 18 and needs to live.

If she brings it back to me and I die? I’ve lived a good life and she is living!

    Always drunk.

But short and sweet with complex concepts. Difficult to communicate details on message board. Need to read between lines and ask for clarification. Please do. Not perfect

I have no response to your last two posts. Maybe someone with more patience wants to take a swing.

Nope. Brazil is obviously going wild, as is Chile. Mexico and Pakistan look to be getting bad though too. Australia appears to be doing quite well. That's just anecdotal, but the data do not appear to be a northern/southern hemisphere dependent.

    Thank you

Seasons is a factor that should be considered in the discussion as other coronavirus are impacted.

FYI My India contacts have just in the last couple weeks taken this seriously. Not that they were flippant but it was not critical at the time. But they have been diligent for many weeks.

Personally I’m surprised it has not been much worse in Central Asia. Same with Far East.

more proof that wearing a mask matters

Two hairstylists who had coronavirus saw 140 clients. No new infections have been linked to the salon, officials say - CNN

(CNN)No cases of coronavirus have been linked to two Missouri hairstylists who saw 140 clients last month while symptomatic, county health officials said.

Both stylists worked at the same Great Clips location in Springfield. The clients and the stylists all wore face coverings, and the salon had set up other measures such as social distancing of chairs and staggered appointments, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department said this week.

The increase in cases isn't due to increased testing. Increased testing is due to the increase in cases. The positive result rate is higher now than it was 2 or 3 weeks ago.

It doesn't prove squat. You don't have a control group not wearing masks and sitting closer together in a similar business, nor should you. Common sense and science are not the same thing.
