That word is the last thing a lot of black people heard before they were hung, shot and maimed to death back in the day. How sad is it that it was the last thing a guy heard before dying in the year 2020. The fact that these monsters almost got away with this is even more terrifying. Makes you wonder how many other folks they've killed and had covered up by the local police.

I can usually control emotions pretty well but this just makes my blood boil. I'm gonna stop here because I don't wanna say anything I'd regret later on. Let's just say that I hope justice is served.

That DA who refused to prosecute should be removed from his job.

Three men indicted on hate crime and kidnapping charges in connection to Ahmaud Arbery's death

Federal prosecutors indicted the three men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery on hate crime and attempted kidnapping charges, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, was out for a jog near Brunswick, Georgia, on February 23, 2020, when he was chased down in a truck by three men and fatally shot. Two of the three men -- Gregory and Travis McMichael -- claimed to be conducting a citizen's arrest and acted in self-defense. A third man, William "Roddie" Bryan Jr., who recorded video of Arbery's death, allegedly hit Arbery with his truck after he joined the McMichaels in the chase.

All three men were charged with one count of interference with rights and with one count of attempted kidnapping, according to a news release from the Justice Department. Travis McMichael and his father, Gregory McMichael, were charged with one count each of using, carrying, and brandishing (in Travis's case discharging) a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

I guess this is why Republicans really really really didn't want Merrick Garland as Attorney General.

WRONG - White good ole boys do what they do in Brunswick, GA.
They ARE the law. And why are you so aggrieved lawyer? You, of all people, should know that in parts of the south it's not just the COP's you worry about, being black, it's the good ole boys.

I wonder what would happen in this case if there was no video.

I’m wondering what happens to everyone in the police department who helped them cover it up

The defense already got almost all the black people excluded from the jury, so the next logical step would be to ban as many black people from sitting with the victim's family as possible ... but on the bright side, at least the defense was allowed to call them the family of the "victim".

Hate admitting it but most of my relatives back in Florida STILL say that word and still think they are better than ANY person of color.
There is hope though because my once die-hard racist uncle listened over the years and took note of a host of things that changed his thinking and how he perceived others. He is one of only a handful of people I've known to change that much over the years, in a good way.

This is the kind of tomfoolery that makes people say what they do about systemic racism. Some will continue to play dumb and ignore it tho.

Shocker that ole Al Sharpton showed up at the Aubrey trial. Thought he might show up at the Rittenhouse trial too but then I remembered it was only white guys who got shot in that case.

I doubt the crooked MAGA judge at the Rittenhouse trial would allow a prominent black man like Al Sharpton to step foot into his courtroom, anyway.

All guilty of murder even William Bryan..
Have to say the judge came across as very professional, unlike the judge in Wisconsin.

Hmmmm…some folks cast doubt on the fairness of elections, others cast doubt on the fairness of the justice system. O/B_coop: nice to see you have something in common w/ DJT.

    All three convicted.

And, all the articles, posts, and tweets about the horrible and unfair justice system go where they all belonged in the first place - far, far away.
